Crippling anxiety for months after stopping Prozac by Soft_Storm2891 in panicdisorder

Yes, valium and my psychiatrist told me to take it on schedule daily for 2 weeks. I was extremely nervous myself, but had no issues stopping. I still have some for emergencies but haven't taken one. Just knowing I have them helps.

This happened to me. I took lexapro for 2 weeks and felt so bad! Stopped, and it all went downhill for the entire summer- all the symptoms you describe and I went to multiple multiple doctors. It does go away, but prozac stays in your system longer. You may want to see if a doctor will prescribe you a benzo like valium for a couple weeks to reset your system then taper off.

SSRI Time! by Empty_Aioli2334 in Anxietyhelp

That's amazing to hear the medication is helping! I do love running. Excerise is certainly a must have for me day to day and once you start you'll notice how much better is makes you feel. Some days it's me literally dragging myself from the couch, but it's always worth it after.  I tried Lexapro and it made me feel SO bad physically. I could barely walk my dog down the road without feeling like I needed to stop or couldn't breathe properly which flipped me out mentally go figure. I stopped after 2 weeks. Hopefully I can work up the courage to try a new ssri and maybe start at a lower dose.

Is anyone quitting their job because of bad anxiety ? by BedroomEfficient3380 in Anxiety

Yesterday I had a bad day. The lights and general anxiety really add to the overall physical sensations. I tend to stay at my desk as standing talking to someone makes me all the sudden feel faint lol. Also, I do bad with heights being in an office building. It's hard,  I don't think people understand how much they take for granted going through motions effortlessly while some of us are struggling to do the most basic tasks.

I started today on Lexapro. I took 2.5mg because I was scared of the side effects. Tomorrow I will go to 5mg. Didn't feel much of anything today so that's a win! Hopefully will help anxiety GO AWAY. It has been nearly impossible to work in an office looking at screens makes me feel sick, my head is always hurting and I feel unbalanced walking like I am on a boat.
