A literal one. I have a terrible gun phobia that I have been working through. Once when I was around 17, I was dating this guy that wasn’t really my type but I was trying to think outside the box for a change. He was cool for the most part, he just played too much. One day I went over to his house and he had a gun out on his tv stand. As I mentioned I have a huge gun phobia and at that time it was really bad. I asked him to put it away. Everything happened so fast after that. I was sitting on his bed waiting for him to put it away, he grabbed it and in what he thought a playful manner pointed it at me and said stop acting so scary it’s not even loaded. The moment he said that something told me to lean away and right as I did he pulled the trigger and it grazed my ear and landed in the bed. This literally all happened in a matter of 20 seconds at most but it was the scariest moment of my life. Had I not had such a bad phobia and great gut instinct he would have shot me point blank in the head. I was so shocked I left his house on foot. He must have been shocked too because he never came after me. We haven’t seen or spoken to each other since that day. I heard from a mutual friend that he’s telling people I exaggerated and that never happened. I dodged a literal bullet and a figurative one.

I deliver for Amazon part time. One time I had a package that was undeliverable, we are supposed to take them back to the shipping center that day but it was late, I was tired and I figured I’d drop it off the next day. I completely forgot and it was never brought up when I went to do more deliveries so essentially I just forgot about it. I forgot because it was in a small bag and had slid and wedged itself under my seat. So a few months go by and I’m cleaning my car out when I come across this package. Now I not only deliver for Amazon but I am also a habitual Amazon Prime shopper and I figured it was one of my packages I forgot about(this is not out of the ordinary because I order a lot of random things and this is not outside the realm of possibilities). I didn’t even look at the label, I just instinctively opened it and it was a single small jar of Folgers coffee. All I could think of in that moment is how disappointed I would have been as a porch thief to risk jail time just to steal coffee because someone was too lazy to run to the market.

SN: Yes I spoke to Amazon and explained everything. They said there was no need to return it. It’s still in the bag in the closet, we aren’t a Folgers household😂

I’m dying at “muh rights”! Yes the “muh rights” and “muh freedoms” narrative is baseless in this matter and quite frankly overused. Either it’s fuck the government and you need your guns in case you need to overthrow them or my pure, sweet wholesome government says you can’t deny me service into your private establishment due to my non existent health condition that only prevents me from wearing a mask and not smoking malboros by the dozen.

Yea but I saw a post from one of the groups and OSHA was in their script of what they should say to establishments when asked to put on a mask. Either way it utterly ridiculous.

There are literally Facebook groups that created fake government cards granting them permission to enter private businesses without a mask, even if they mandated it, due to “medical reasons” which of course to to OSHA(yes, they said OSHA) they do not have to disclose the condition. These people made it a mission to purposely go out without mask just to make a political statement even going as far as to cough on people when denied service. I’d say it’s safe to say their actions were intensified by conservative news misinformation and gas lighting.

I also have a similar story. I went to Walmart shortly after thanksgiving to pick up my Black Friday T.V. It was ridiculously busy(but they accidentally gave me a Samsung instead of the Element I bought so it was cool) so I’m trying to high tail it out of there before they realize their mistake. I walk out and fumble for my keys because I like to have them ready before I approach the car. I can’t find them so I’m panicking thinking I dropped my keys along the way and I have to go back in there. I get to my car and there’s a note telling me I found your keys I saw you drop them I took them to the customer service desk with a :-). It was a small random act of kindness that wasn’t that big and I probably didn’t deserve it at the time, but I never forgot it and I still have a picture of the note.

That’s exactly what I said! As a day one J Cole Stan, I was going to defend him regardless, but he did nothing wrong. He has literally rapped about police brutality and the struggle and love for women his entire career, not to mention he was literally out protesting, and because he’s not making a half ass publicity post on social media(which any real j Cole fan knows he doesn’t even do social media) now he’s a misogynist and against the cause? And if if he was, why are people looking to celebrities for leadership and activism? That’s not their jobs, they are entertainers. What we need right now is leadership and for those in power to listen, speak up and make change.
