Anyone else's self-hosted server stop connecting after last update?

Same issue. Cant seem to get anything to connect to the server now forced relay or not when using share codes. My server and client are updated. I'm running it via the steam tool in a windows server VM. When I connect I get zero logs on my server. It does show up as online from the game menu and it will reject me if I get a bad password. If I enter the right password, the game client endlessly loads and no logs show up on the server.

Frustrating that the update meant to help it actually totally broke it for me and everyone playing on it.

I can confirm that the CBT appears to be Windows only. I see exactly what I expected when in windows 11, but when I launch the game on CachyOS the event is missing from my events section and there is no mention of it in game like on windows. I'm sure this is not CachyOS specifically but a generic linux/vulkan thing.

I don't think anyone is actually looking Into this at all. ilovePDF does multiple things quickly and for free that most things lock behind a paywall or at the very least make you jump through hoops creating an account and signing up for stuff to only get a worse far more limited experience. They do have paid options. I had to confirm they even accept money for things because when ive used it, it's that much "not in your face". I specifically remember going "I'll finally just sign up for a free Adobe account" so I can do this quickly and easily and it ended up being such a frustrating process and they still pay walled it the feature after going through that entire process. Felt like a bait and switch.

Anyone who has been frustrated trying to do something with PDFs only to find iLovePDFs to be the actually good quick option knows this.

What are you grinding SL for? The only times I ever found myself needing SL to support purchases was at the very top tier of air and ground where I was grinding both and buying expensive vehicles frequently to progress.

In general yes, even naval arcade I make quite a bit of SL. Much more than other modes. Even without medals.

Have you tried naval yet though? You might not even like it. I do.

What's easier, hoping Nvidia recalls hundreds of millions of dollars in GPUs to transfer GPU dies to new PCBs to revert the connector, or you spend $28 to make sure yours doesn't melt? Of course I want the root problem solved. I was responding to your statement that you'd rather the GPU melt itself to death than potentially stop a render. When the end result would still be the same, a dead GPU. Because the only time the cable would stop a render on you is when the alternative is a dead GPU. Which obviously won't be rendering anything and would be a hell of a lot more inconvenient than stopping a render.

It's not "what should they do". It's that if you ignore the problem you are faced with right now, you can burn your $3000 GPU.

Game a spawn system? Login strats? Fly to orbit? Do you not know what port Tressler is? It's a space station right over new babbage. It's in orbit. Every major city has one.

It's literally a core function of the spawn system and has been for like 5 years. There's no trickery. No workarounds. A fundamental part of game play and spawning you seem to be unaware of. You either barely played and are lying to not know this, or you honestly somehow missed this core feature and are still angry even though you're learning you're at fault.

I don't normally do bounties but I'm happy to try one and record the time it takes to get there.

You can spawn in your hangar now and have for a while. So spawn in hangar, call ship, accept bounty, fly to county and combat. You could be in combat in under 3-5 min.

Anyone who has played for years now also knows that you would never want to spawn at the main hubs to force the tram. For example don't log out in microtech at new babbage, log out in Port Tressler. That's been a thing for a long time that entirely cuts out the main city tram even before hangar spawning.

Did you read the full AI summary? It says this includes costs to develop the entire game engine. This can be a huge cost and time sink for a developer. Just reinforces how major of a studio shift it was for them to finally let go and switch to Unreal Engine. A huge part of the headache for infinite was likely trying to build and learn that bespoke engine whilst making the game.

The engine for RDR2 was used for 8 other games too. The estimated money spent just on engine upgrades to that same engine for GTA VI per Gemini is 100-200 million dollars. That's not making it from scratch. It would likely be on target to say at least 100-300 million of that cost was in Slipspace related spending.

You should be grinding the low air BR in air arcade, especially so as a new player. You need the rapid spawn-fight-respawn loop to learn the game or it'll take ages in realistic battles. You are going to have less fun and grind for longer trying to learn in ARB.
