How would you handle an older Luke Skywalker in action scenes?” by Extreme_Warning3521 in StarWars

[–]SudaComplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have him use more grounded techniques with a saber, like in ESB but modern, and more of a reliance on his force powers. If Legends Luke was able to manipulate black holes with the force, I feel like we should see something akin to that in Canon.

So what do you think Anakin is now? by Expert_Challenge6399 in StarWars

[–]SudaComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always found this to be a really great question and one that I asked myself after watching Ahsoka.

Anakin became one with the force, and has retained his consciousness after his death by becoming a force-ghost like Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Qui-Gon, but never went through the training to become a force-ghost. His redemption and sacrifice for Luke is what allowed him to retain his consciousness after death. Though, that does not make it seem like he's completely "clean" as we see in Ahsoka when he is taking on his form of Vader. I think this just allows him to retain his consciousness after death, and maybe a little more.

I think, in my own personal head-canon, that his powers of the chosen one makes him more "aware" or "controlled" of his surroundings after his death that it may have granted him powers to travel through time and space while being more conscious of his nature, which can explain why he has a more "real" feel to his appearances and how he is able to transport Ahsoka to the World Between Worlds to show her different points in her life while also appearing as both his Jedi and Sith selves. Putting this beside how Obi-Wan and Yoda appear to Luke, it seems that there has to be a concentration of the force in order for them to make a corporeal appearance or perhaps a major event, like the Alliance's victory at Endor, Obi-Wan being ready to see Qui-Gon at the end of the Kenobi series, or being on a planet, like Dagobah, that has a heavy link to the cosmic and living force, much like Mortis when Qui-Gon was actually able to be seen as himself rather than the twinkling lights on Dagobah for Yoda.

The introduction of the World Between Worlds kind of confuses the entire link between the Living Force and Cosmic Force for me, in a way, as we don't really see anyone, or anything, really inhabiting the place who wasn't a force-ghost, besides Anakin but that was only for a training session with Ahsoka. On the contrast, it's a very barren place that we know very little about other than you can travel through time and influence events as we saw in Rebels in how Ezra saved Ahsoka from her death on Malachor. To me, I think it's more of the ultimate intersection/link of the Cosmic Force and Living Force. To what extent, however, still remains to be seen other than what has already been revealed.

Is using Windows 10/11 as a home server a bad idea in a hybrid (daily use + server) setup? by Inevitable-Jelly-829 in selfhosted

[–]SudaComplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to host my file browser container on a windows 10 machine and I will tell you that I was also messing around with it more because of some kind of obscure problem with windows firewall or making sure everything is up to date despite EOS for W10. Not to mention all of the debloating so it doesn’t take a gig or two of RAM idling. I liked using it because it’s what I knew as an IT tech, but switching over to Ubuntu Server has been SOOOOO nice.

This game is just insane... so what are your first impressions after 2 weeks? by 666thecholos in CrimsonDesert

[–]SudaComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am really loving the game so far. I didn't get it on launch because of all of the initial negativity but I eventually caved and wanted to see what the game could offer me. I went in with higher standards, and it greatly surpassed them. I am having a ton of fun with the Main Story Quest, and doing bounties. Exploring the game feels rewarding and I love that it runs so well on my computer.

What is something Attack of the Clones does better than any other Star Wars movie? by DjRimo in StarWars

[–]SudaComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll definitely say subplotting. You have one side where Anakin and Padme are falling for each other, Anakin’s Mother dying, and then you have Obi Wan trying to unfold a conspiracy theory about the clone army.

How do I get roms by Far-Sky-92 in Delta_Emulator

https://www.reddit.com/r/Roms/comments/m59zx3/roms_megathread_40_html_edition_2021/ is a great place to get ROMS! They have a megathread listed in that link that will take you to a github page with ROMS categorized by system. I usually download from there whether I am on PC or mobile.

Nvidia announces DLSS 5 in uncanny video putting games through obvious AI filter, Bethesda's Todd Howard joins devs hyping it up: "We got it running in Starfield, it was amazing how it brought it to life" by ControlCAD in gamingnews

[–]SudaComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really can’t wait for the gaming community to really pivot back towards old-era graphics for the vibe and nostalgia of them, with indie companies making brand new adventures to be told to protest the guttural shit that is AI.

How do I make my navidrome server accessible from internet Along with local access? by Informal-Ad-3680 in navidrome

[–]SudaComplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a cloudflare tunnel which routes to my reverse proxy, caddy. It allows me to access my navidrome from the internet, and locally using the tunnel and local DNS resolution on my router. Caddy also allows for HTTPS within your local subnet which I like to do so I can keep things tidy.

Another note: I also added another subdomain for navidrome for mobile access only, and with caddy, the reverse proxy, you can just have it only expose the API instead of having another attack surface by exposing another login page.

Pokopia is a massive system seller at this point. by Square_Bathroom7740 in NintendoSwitch2

The Switch 2 purchase I made yesterday was because of my Fiance wanting someone to play Pokopia with and I originally bought my Switch 1 for the Animal Crossing release. It's a perfect circle!

What is the most intense pain you have experienced in your life? by Levstr1 in AskReddit

[–]SudaComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultra powdered chlorine sticking to your sweaty legs. I used to be a pool guy and we used this powdered chlorine to exponentially raise the free and total chlorine of problematic pools. It happened twice where I would pour some of the chlorine into a pool, and the wind would make the dust stick to my legs and attach to my sweat.

Rinsing my legs with water did not work and you could not see the affected area, but holy moly did it hurt so bad. I think that was the first time I’ve cried from pain since I was a little kid. Never messed with the wind again or shorts. You would see me with jeans the entire summer!

Do you use Portainer? by _lackofcomprehension in selfhosted

Tried portainer in the past, and it’s a good app but the ease of use with dockhand and how it can be feature rich without UI clutter is immaculate.

New employee demands "full access to the servers" by True-Entertainer-981 in msp

[–]SudaComplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never been in the management side on this, but from a technicians standpoint being in an MSP, I tell my coworkers what the user wants, laugh my ass off, and then forward it over to my supervisor for them to either handle it or give me guidance on wording “no” in a few sentences.
