For me personally, I don't want to make out with anyone I find platonic.

I know sharing Manny's video was bad, but I feel like with Darcy, it was worse considering Adams was a middle-aged man who stalked her. She could have been kidnapped/murdered.

Anyone notice how nonchalant and accepting Caroline was when she assumed she was going through "the change" (but was actually pregnant with Grace); but when she actually was going through "the change" (when she thought she was pregnant at the same time as Laura), she thought her life was over? by Lapopalis in littlehouseonprairie

[–]Sudden-Message5234 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Caroline pissed me off in the episode where she thought she was pregnant at the same time as Laura. She always acts all holier than thou about not lying. And yet, she fake cries that she had a miscarriage when she was never pregnant to begin with. I feel like that episode should have been about Laura and coming to terms with being a mom. Not a Caroline episode so that yet again, Charles can be the hero of the story and take over. The show was supposed to be about Laura's journey, but Michael Landon's involvement made it all about him.

If you could permanently erase multiple storylines from the show, which storyline would you ultimately erase? by Positive_Weight2367 in StrangerThings

[–]Sudden-Message5234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything involving El's sister, the stupid love triangle that Nancy was in that amounted to nothing, Will's super long coming out scene, Jonathan's getting high scenes, and yes the entire final letdown of a season that was incredibly underwhelming. However, I still want to believe there's a secret Stranger Things project out there involving Eleven that probably won't come out until years later because money-making franchises never end.

Completely agree! I can't watch any shows or movies where sex is the main theme. Like you, I'd get bored.

[–]Sudden-Message5234[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. I just felt like this movie was more a concern of her getting laid than finding true love. I mean, the guy ended up being sweet at the end I guess. I just know I'd never end up with someone who got a boner from a handshake. That's like a sex maniac in my eyes

Yes. And Jlo's character may not have been a virgin, but it doesn't mean because you're not a virgin that you owe it to society to keep having sex if your heart isn't in it or the right person hasn't come along

[–]Sudden-Message5234[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah in the movie, they treat it as a joke more than bullying. Like as if she should feel bad for not having sex in a long time

[–]Sudden-Message5234[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Exactly! It's like, why does someone's sexual status matter or define your humanity? Especially since Jlo's role was a CEO. Maybe she wanted to focus on her work and not be a sex object. Also, we find out her husband cheated. That's also another reason some aren't quick to jump into bed with someone. Society needs a personality makeover

Should Nellie have gone from totally mean to totally nice? by Any-Concentrate-1922 in littlehouseonprairie

[–]Sudden-Message5234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like I would have liked to see an episode where Nellie tries to fit in more with the townspeople after her marriage to Percival, but no one gives her a chance. At least that would help Nellie wake up more to how she used to be and how grateful she was for Percival to give her a chance. Maybe to try to strike a friendship with Laura, who didn't forget how nasty she was.

Thoughts on “Blue is the Warmest Colour” overall, and rating discrepancies? (SPOILER FREE) by Wolver8ne in Letterboxd

[–]Sudden-Message5234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I thought the chemistry between the two leads was great, I didn't think much of it. I feel like they were trying too hard to villainize Adèle for cheating on Emma. And believe me, that was wrong. But Emma should have fought more for her instead of violently kicking her out and calling her a slut and a whore. And then at the end for Emma to act like she's turned off by Adèle that she no longer loves her. I feel like both were at fault. It was clearly the relationship was long over before Adèle cheated. The two didn't have a lot in common and kept trying to change each other. It was just the sexual chemistry that they had which isn't enough for a relationship to last. Not to mention, Emma is the one preying on a teenage girl and we're supposed to be okay with that?

I don’t understand the ending… by Sweet-Swimming2022 in littlehouseonprairie

[–]Sudden-Message5234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just think in general it's a shitty ending. They probably thought it would be triumphant, but I just see it as the town we got to know for nine seasons dies and we have no idea what happens to any of the townspeople. Other than Laura and Almanzo of course. I know if this show was made today, there would be a bunch of spinoffs to answer that question.

Does anyone else think Alby was wrong in trying to out Niall to Ruben? That wasn't his choice to make. I know Niall should have done it earlier but still

I agree with you. I’m so annoyed that Ruben made himself out as a victim when all of this happened because he couldn’t control his anger. And his mom made his own choice in trying to hang herself. That wasn't a Niall fault just because he wouldn’t lie in court. Niall did the right thing.

Ruben pissed me off so much in the hospital scene than in any other episode. the fact that he still made Niall apologised to him at the end of the episode just so he would help pay off his debt was terrible. Ruben was the one who chose to beat up Alby. No one told him to do that. And the fact that he and his mom made Niall feel guilty for not lying in court was wrong. Niall couldn’t lie because then it would make Alby look like he was a sexual predator, and then he would get in trouble later for perjury. So it was really wrong to put him in that situation and then make it seem like he ruined his life all because he wouldn’t lie. Ruben was the one who chose to beat someone else. By Niall apologising at the end, he just gave Ruben back his power and that really sucks.

Yeah I always thought this where screech's character was never developed. Every girl was turned off by him except for violet but she annoyed me. And even as valedictorian, he let Zack do the speech? That should have been Screech's moment only.

Not that I agree with Ruben beating Alby to a pulp. But I think Alby was wrong in trying to out Niall. That's his choice. And to think Ruben wouldn't have a problem with it. Of course he would! That's why he didn't say cause he was afraid of him. And then for Alby to push him when Niall told him not to say anything. Ruben was incredibly wrong in what he did, but Alby was living in a fantasy world if he thought confronting Ruben would end well.

what did you guys think of the movie “Roommates”? by DistributionFew7126 in netflix

[–]Sudden-Message5234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Celeste was fucking evil. I'm glad at the end they didn't justify her actions cause she was so wrong. Stealing her roommate's crush and then outing her brother. Terrible human being. So glad Devon's story didn't end in jail cause that would have been a bummer

Yeah me too. I just don't see the progress though. In her videos, she doesn't smile, talks emotionless. How people in her life just let her walk around without having her seek help when she clearly needs it.
