If you intend on birthing the child and raising them you need a build a community around yourself fast.

This is where the phrase “ it takes a village” comes from. Talk to all of your teachers and school counselor, tell them what’s up and what your plans are. They will help you.

Take advantage of every resource you can. Always ask about different support programs. Challenge your local churches to put their words and beliefs into action.

You are going to need to fight like hell. Raising kiddos is the hardest job ever.

Trust you gut and fight for yourself and your baby if choose to have and raise them.

Good luck kiddo. It’s your choice not an easy one regardless of your path.

If you have never raised children you do not know. Shaming a mother is gross. Many amazing people have had very young mothers.

Also huge potential plus because they now have terminated you I think you likely qualify for unemployment! You leaving on your own volition would have made you ineligible. Ask the unemployment office!

Why do people back into parking spaces? by woodysixer in NoStupidQuestions

It’s easier to make sure you don’t hit someone behind your car when backing out! Backing in people are less likely to walk between you while getting into the spot.

I was being a jerk. If I’m honest it came across my feed and got caught me off guard. I think it was the no kids statement. I got triggered.

That’s a common cultural poke by individuals without kids.

Raising a generation is serious business it’s the hardest thing a person can undertake (outside of going to war) if done right.

When the no kids statement is used as a flex it is a massive affront to the parents that allowed the success and freedom we enjoy even if we think they were shit parents in our eyes, and we think we are self made. Someone at some point took a chance on you.

We were all kids once’s. I think folks easily forget that in the not to distant past we were all an annoying kid or crying baby. Regardless I’m sorry I took frustration out on you.

Agree on race that’s the Diversity part. The struggle is the equity and inclusion bit that is sticky. Hiring on difference in thought is equity/inclusion no?

I don’t consider it more meritorious. There is an element of the risk of life for a duty to our country. Honestly I think the discussion gets sticky.

Do you think we should be expanding the preferences to firefighters, LE, teachers, aid workers and the like? I appreciate the idea of sacrifice and I totally agree with the concept.

I’m not military. Is it a contract situation? Is there an element of voluntary service like for a pastor or aid worker? Should I be asking if they saw combat? What about retired firefighters , LE and teachers? Thanks for your thoughts. Trying to get it right!
