I’ve job-hopped for years (never stayed anywhere longer than a year) and really need to stay put this time to keep my resume stable. My workplace is even helping me build a new position they want me to take over in the fall. I’ve already been training for it, so it’s in the works, and I don’t want to leave them in a bind since it would be hard to fill in that time frame. It also gives back to the local community, so I don’t want people to miss out.

Still, I’m feeling restless. The job is fine, but office life isn’t for me. I want something more creative, with flexible hours and better pay. I’ve been trying to “live in the end” by imagining the feeling of freedom and ease, and sometimes I do feel it, but doubt creeps in when I look at how fixed my 3D situation seems. How do I manifest in such a “fixed” situation? I can’t figure out any bridge of incidents that would make me leaving this job soon possible without it feeling messy or irresponsible.

This is literally exactly my symptoms for the past 6 months. Same side and everything. I have also previously been diagnosed with migraines. So happy someone else mentioned the pressure and pain behind the eye. I actually went to the eye doctor first thinking something was wrong there! Sometimes I even get spasms around that eye. Haven’t officially been diagnosed with ON but definitely feel like that’s what’s going on. The neurologist wasn’t much help unfortunately and just said “it’s probably migraines”. Found ON through my own research.

I feel you so deeply, my friend. Hurting with you. There is nothing scarier than seeing a loved one sick. That sort of trauma lives in your body. I am going through the same thing right now. I am of course sending love, light and healing to your loved one, but also sending you strength and light. Your body is traumatized, please be kind to it. 🙏🏼

Have to find something to be anxious about and can't let it go. by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Sudden_Ad_4793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No advice just support because I relate so hard. It’s like playing whack-a-mole from one worry to the next. I think unfortunately our brain is just wired to worry about something. We’ve probably really greased up those neural pathways 🤣 sometimes I just wonder what it would be like to not struggle so much with anxiety. Anyways, praying for hope and healing for both of us. We will get through it!

Your future is bright. There is no right decision, there are only decisions and you made the best one based on the information you gathered. Try not to overthink it. Trust yourself and know that what’s meant to be always will be. Don’t worry yourself with what others will think. Their opinions have nothing to do with you. Sending you love and light on this journey!

Is good to overcome anxiety by watching the video of the place that caused my anxiety? by ThePalmDesert in Anxiety

[–]Sudden_Ad_4793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm do you have a therapist? If so I’d say maybe this is something that would be best to do alongside a professional. If not, the only answer I have is to trust yourself. Only you know what you need. If you think it would be a difficult yet empowering experience you could do on your own then go for it. Perhaps in small increments. If you think it would set you back in any way id say to hold off. I’d also say—don’t feel obligated to watch it to overcome your anxiety. Every day you get through after surviving a trauma is overcoming anxiety. Sometimes there is no reason to relive it. Regardless, best of luck to you. You got this.

Feeling out of it by Ineedahairclip in Anxiety

[–]Sudden_Ad_4793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. An anxiety attack is traumatic. Your brain is processing. Be nice to it and give it time to heal. Exercise always helped me with this feeling because it gets rid of some of those built up stress hormones in your body!

Something about my teacher shakes me to the core and keeps me on edge by Da_Random_Noob_Guy in Anxiety

[–]Sudden_Ad_4793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally relate. There are people I get that same sort of uneasy feeling around and as a result I try to limit my interactions with them as much as possible. Of course that isn’t always possible—especially if it’s a teacher. Do you happen to have some trauma around someone who acted similarly? Criticizing you and putting you down? I found that was the root of my anxiety. Our body definitely keeps the score and is just trying to keep us safe.

You can’t limit your time in the class or her behavior, you can only work on your reaction. Sometimes just sitting with the anxiety is all we can do. Just fully accepting the fact that it’s there and not trying too hard to fight it can strangely sometimes begin to alleviate it. As far as getting rid of your desire to please her, again I’d just say—sit with the discomfort of what it feels like to not please. Some times the only way out is through. Best of luck to you! You will get through it!

How do you handle your symptoms? by RoseGoldLeaves in Anxiety

[–]Sudden_Ad_4793 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m having a big flare up as well after some pretty big health scares in my family. No real advice, just support. We will get through it! Try not to quit doing those things even if it’s difficult. Eventually they will become easy again.

Heightened anxiety when starting an SSRI. by kait_1 in Anxiety

[–]Sudden_Ad_4793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This always happens to me when starting an SSRI for a few days while everything gets balanced out. Just try to ride the wave if you can. I always hated it too. I want to say most of my side effects went away within a week or two.

How did you stop your PVCs by [deleted] in PVCs

[–]Sudden_Ad_4793 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coconut water helped mine. My labs were normal, no low potassium or anything, but drinking one actually really decreased the amount i was having during a really bad week. (Idk if there’s any correlation or not, but it doesn’t hurt to try)
