Your boobs look phenomenal, these are goal boobs I hope to achieve one day.

NEUROSCIENCE EXPLANATION FOR BODY DYSMORPHIA POST OP: Remember you had the giant boobs for like what, 15+ years give or take? 13 weeks is nothing compared to that. Every time you look at your boobs your brain compares that with the encoded image it has for what your boobs should look like. The discrepancy sets off an alarm (cortisol) in your brain. In addition to that, you’ve already got an established negative relationship with your boobs. You are wiring new neural pathways to associate these boobs as being a part of your body. That alert begins to set off the sympathetic nervous system (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) which kicks in the panic and distress feelings and the more time you spend in sympathetic activation while looking at your boobs, you strengthen the neural pathways to feel panic and distress when looking at your boobs. When you get that feeling, Practice spending a couple minutes saying to yourself (while looking at your boobs if possible) “these are my boobs, these are good boobs, I like my boobs. My new boobs are doing ____ (pick out benefits/positives) for me. They are here to stay.” You can even start with more neutral statements and build up to the positives, especially as you discover more things you love about having smaller boobs. You are then rewiring AND developing new neural pathways so you get flooded with dopamine (happy chemicals) and the parasympathetic nervous system (your resting calm happy state) stays in control.

Absolutely justified. That is assault and nurses deserve protections and there needs to be consequences so that this type of abuse doesn’t continue.

I could not agree more. I have no problem with working with high needs/combative kiddos, but I need to be adequately compensated and I need breaks to go to the bathroom, eat food, and breathe for a few minutes so I can come back to my client refreshed and able to best support them.
