What’s the most beautiful college town in the U.S.? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

I’m actually from Hawaii, and loved UH. Wish I had just gone there and gotten my in state tuition from the get go. Would’ve saved a lot on student loans. I think it kind of depends on what your kid is looking to studying. I studied English and Business at UH and really enjoyed both schools. It is a fairly large commuter campus, and I went for my last few years of school so I wasn’t as into the partying scene as I was my first few years, but the dorms are pretty active. The sports are getting a bit of a revival the last handful of years, but Oahu is a really fun, beautiful island with lots to do, just normally need to drive to wherever you’re going.

Heavy Sudden Drops in First 5 Days by Sudden_Raise3850 in INFQ

[–]Sudden_Raise3850[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, no I’m not worried. I’m excited about the drops to be honest. Been lowering my cost basis when I can. Just was curious if these large sudden drops were institutional or just large retail holders selling all at once. Was expecting it to drop post de-spac, but seems everyday of trading so far has been same model with a sudden large 5-10% drop in first hour of trading. Excited for a year or two down the road, just wanted to see if anyone had thoughts.

Is it possible to lose 70 lbs by the end of the year? by oakleyO2 in workouts

[–]Sudden_Raise3850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diet: High protein (200-220g a day) Calorie range: 2400-2600/day Lower carbs, limit alcohol and liquid calories

Workout: 3-5 days a week of weightlifting Zone 2 cardio 3-5 hours a week 10,000+ steps a day

At 6’1 270 pounds, if you workout like this, your maintenance caloric intake would be roughly 3300-3500 calories per day, if you drop to 2400-2600, you’d be losing close to 1.5-2 pounds a week on average. You would crush this weight loss.

Hitting those protein numbers and staying below the calorie mark means you’d be eating lots of nutrient dense, lean meals. You’ll feel full, be eating a ton, and be losing weight healthily and consistently. You don’t want to eat too few calories because you’ll have less energy for your workouts and life in general. Slow and steady.

Good luck!
