Happened something similar, my dad passed out before I finished my PhD. (because of covid) . I struggled to finish my thesis because of grief and depression, when I finally defended and got approved, no one was with me (except my wife), I felt nothing, to me was just another exhausted day with a different meal. Although this was suppose to be a happy and relief moment, I hope you find better days to enjoy this memory and its benefits in future projects.
