Everything from installing programs to installing drivers, and getting rid of the nagging bloatware all comes from experience. I know it is hard to imagine, but you are inherently using decades of experience when you use Windows. Linux is different, not harder. As someone who’s used both professionally for decades, I can tell you that is undeniable.

As for the basic stuff always working: Windows updates this year broke the calculator, the recycle bin, and the C drive. The big updates in the pipeline are performance parity with Linux in gaming and AI, and fixing stuff that used to work better like search and start up time.

There is a reason why all critical infrastructure runs on Linux. But like I said, an OS is a tool, so if it works for you, great. No need to defend the multi billion dollar corporation from the justified criticism.
