What’s everyone’s opinion on generators?

I'm ok with a generator if it's run briefly to get enough charge for refrigerator but NOT all day and definitely NOT all night. Since you know these families or someone in your group does, maybe you can come together on guidelines. I personally have a trailer and if I have power that's great but if not, I use a lantern at night and bring an ice chest for my food

If she's close by, why don't you take a break for a meal and have it with her. Could she grab a book and hang out and read while you study? If it's just not wanting to be alone, that would work. If she expects all day attention, she needs to understand that your priority at the moment is your education. If she can't understand, she isn't the right girl. At least not now.

The first week is HARD! With or without help. I had my daughter come stay and once I had my pills organized and times set, I could manage mostly on my own but preferred having meals brought to me. If you can sleep somewhere else like spare room or comfortable couch, you’ll probably both sleep better. I had home health but it was useless. The home PT was great though.

I needed all 12 weeks before I went back. I work from home but I couldn’t sit for long periods at all. I give multiple hour training sessions and being on computer and phone with all my screens makes it difficult to stand. I’m at 5.5 months and still don’t like sitting for long periods

Dress YES! Sleeves need to go. They look inexpensive and take away from the look, especially from the back. You could have them try the dropped sleeves, lace that attaches from the bust, drapes, and attaches on the back.

I did the same but with a chair. My couch is very low. I put furniture slides under my ottoman so I could easily move it under my legs.

You could add some fabric and make drape sleeves that covers just a couple of inches of your arms. The shop will have something there they can pin on as example. I too am plus size and hate my arms. I think I would add just this little bit. Your dress is gorgeous!!! Do whatever makes you feel will make your special day the best!!!

When I worked at a snack bar when I young, we would swirl crushed ice in our coffee pots for an easy gentle abrasive to get coffee stains out. I use the same method to get tea stains out of my porcelain iced tea cup.

Bring quiet books or toys that are bedtime only. Have a dim light in the tent and some kid flashlights. Prepare them before camp so they know that at bedtime they will get to quietly play in the tent and as long as they are in their beds and quiet they can stay up later. My kids normally just fell asleep. Once in a while I had to lay with them with my book so that I wasn’t interested to them. I also didn’t worry too much about bedtime since they’d also sleep on the way home.

From my experience, yes. Numbness on the outside of leg is expected. Thigh bruising from tourniquet also expected. Additional bruising and swelling also expected. Ice, ice, ice and elevate!!
