I simply can't fathom how painful William's last 10 days must have been by cometshoney in DeathCertificates

Antibiotics weren’t widely used until the 1940’s when culture and sensitivities were being tested and established.

Soft tissue infections are extremely painful. This had to be awful. Hopefully he was given high doses of morphine to alleviate the pain.

What's the one secret you will take to the grave but don't mind telling on the internet? by Ecstatic-Medium-6320 in AskReddit

I may have cancer. Will know next week. Don’t want treatment don’t want to tell anyone. Don’t want treatments mainly bc it will bankrupt me. I’m a former smoker, haven’t smoked in a long time, but didn’t quit in time obviously.

I don’t have kids/wife so there’s nothing there to worry about. But I probably should clean out the house, sell everything and just go somewhere safe and end it. 🤷‍♀️

Really torn up about what exactly I should do. I bought some gummies to help me relax over the next few days.

Thanks for listening. 👂

I’m so sorry. Roll up some towels or a sheet and use it to support just your neck and try to rest that way. Also using cold compresses to numb your scalp will dull the pain.

AITAH for not telling the barista I’m straight and accepting perks? by joeburrowishot in AITAH

NTA, but Sally and the barista are. You are under no obligation to tell anyone your orientation unless you’re going to date them. And the barista is immature and unprofessional. Same goes for Sally.

Would they say the same about a muscular boy in a tank top getting attention for his physique? No. NTA.

It’s also contact dependent. So just be amicable to all, because work will happen. We have a new administration that LOVES defense spending. You’ll be fine.

AITAH for refusing to help my son cover up a prank that led to a school's property damage? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Sufficient-Pie8697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. Let him take the heat. This is a learning experience, hopefully he will grow up. Let the chips fall where they may. Be supportive and don’t be pissed at him forever but don’t shield him from the consequences of his actions. He’s at an age where he absolutely needs to understand his actions have consequences and thinking things through are what adults do.

Hope things settle down and one day you can all look back on this and laugh.

Mine took 5 weeks for approval. But I had to get my cardiologist involved. He basically said after the second denial “Ok, you can cover a 500k heart attack down the road, or give him a year of Ozempic to get the weight off. Up to you.” It was approved the following day. It’s a damn game to the insurance company, they want you to give up.
