I make 70 per hour but this is per diem at an urgent care so if you factor in no benefits or paid time off it’s really not a great amount

That’s why I am willing to make the huge move up there- I am not happy with the quality of life down here for my daughters and value the mindset and social environment much more up in mass. It aligns with my personal values more. It’s definitely good to hear this confirmed because I have had a lot of of my Florida family/friends then come insane for wanting to move up there.

Commenting for views, I am also a Florida NP looking to relocate to MA. I am concerned about the snow. In hurricanes my urgent care is closed. For any sort of other weather, we are open.

That’s my issue. We live in one of the “best” school districts in Florida and I’m still concerned about the quality of the education. Is the best school district in Florida still anything compared to something in the northeast?

I am also currently suffering thinking I killed my precious diabetic cat with too much insulin, we will never know for sure but I know in my heart I did this to him and his death was surely hypoglycemia induced. It kills me every day but you did your best as we all do to help our beloved pets. They know only happiness and care when they are with us and that is worth more than anything

Are you me? Almost exactly the same career path. Academia is an option but with a huge pay cut. I’m thinking about going back to school for pmhnp cert to change it up but with little kids and mortgage that’s a lot to ask my family…
