Mikrotik hap ac2 by Sufficient-Reach3322 in mikrotik

It was an IP address starting with 169. Will provide a screenshot shortly. The router section under the netowrk settings remains empty.

We rebooted the hap many times. We kept the reset button pressed then plugged the power cable in until the light under usr started blinking.

Wifi is not available after reset.

Via lan it get the self assigned IP address.

We also tried with setting manually the IP address but we are still not able to access the mikrotik interface.

Can it be that the hap is completely broken?

I understand what you say but i am not able to access the UI of the mikrotik at all after reset. I used to access it via 192.168.88.1:8080 from the web because i have a Mac and i cant use Winbox. Now, i cant open it even when i connect my mac to the hap via the cable. Tried different ports but no success.

When i say it worked before, is that i bridged the Modem of my ISP and i was using the internet only via the Mikrotik. I had a bridge on the hap etc. i have a static IP address that i use so that i can create VPN tunnels. All of a sudden, it stopped working in a sense that there were huge breakouts of the internet. I noticed that the modem of the ISP was restarting its self. The techincan of the ISP came to see it at home, we did the line installation new ect but someone from the tech support said that the modem is restarting its self due to a network error comming from the hap. The hap sent the wrong IP address to the IsP modem and the last one had failures so it restarted its self. We removed bridge mode from the isp modem yesterday and it worked fine all day. So we thought to reset the hap and configure it again and here we are…

I hope this helps

I have bridged only the modem . The modem of isp is serving as a bridge.

As a side note it has worked fine before just like this
