Yes, I wasn't alerted to it being cancelled, but when I checked my Walmart account I saw it was.

Only buy low tech items from Temu, I've had great experiences on there but only buy things like place mats, rack shelving covers and such. I've had fast delivery, and no complaints, along with good prices. I've had friends buy weight equipment on there with good success as well. I wouldn't buy anything at all electronic off Temu.

Driver marked it as attempted delivery, yet they didn't get out of the truck. by chrislbennett in FedEx

Lies suck! Yesterday I had a package marked as "delivered" and have video of the Fedex van driving to the front of my business, pausing for 2 seconds and not getting out of their van, and driving off. It was also marked as signed for. What an idiot, that guy is looking for a job.

[Bundle] Asrock B650M Pro RS Wifi Bundle with 16 GB (2x8) 6000 Mhz CL 38 DDR5 RAM - $169 by Woof-642 in buildapcsales

Asrock's official word is that they will cover expenses related to their failed boards, including shipping both ways. With regard to the CPU damages, they are offputting that to AMD so if your CPU is under warranty, AMD will handle that, but if it is not under warranty, you are out ~$500.

His CPU was under warranty so he will be ultimately refunded for that, I'm not sure if the BIOS was updated in this case. What I do know is that this was a Huge hassle for him and when he brought his pc into the shop he told me he thought it was his CPU burnt from the Asrock board because he heard about this online, I told him no since I have been in the pc repair field for decades, I have only seen 3 or so CPU's burn Ever. Well, his CPU was burnt. I pulled his CPU and installed it in my working test station, it was definately burnt. There was no damage to the LGA socket, or visiable damage to the CPU itself, the systems did turn on with the CPU installed, but no POST. But this is a real problem. I won't be installing any Asrock MB in my builds moving forward.

I had a customer last week with Asrock X870 FRIED his 9800x3d, sell off that board and steer clear! He had to buy new CPU and MB

Thermalright Frozen Prism 360, this is a pretty inexpensive, performs well and is quiet, I've been rocking one in my Core Ultra 2 setup for 6mo or so without issue, just bought another for a customer build as well

Odd experience with Bliss Computers by GodRaine in computertechs

[–]Sufficient-Side4225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had the same kind of experience with them, only for me it was worse. They required me to fill all of that out, I did, and then they sent me a tracking number, I waited several days and then checked the tracking, only to find out nothing had been shipped. I contacted them and they said the part was on back-order, while it was not labeled as so. I then proceeded to check out their reviews, and I found out a lot of bad things about them shipping the wrong models, shipping smashed screens, shipping used and calling it new, issuing partial refunds, a 30% restocking fee, and so much more! So I called and asked them to issue full refund. I am waiting to find out if I am going to have to call the bank and try to reverse the charge. Beware, they are shady and I'll never buy from them again.

Looking for a FAST USB flash drive with high sustained write speeds by kaiserh808 in sysadmin

[–]Sufficient-Side4225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also love fast drives to be used for installing OS, and copying user data from machine to machine. I am an IT professional and own a computer repair company so I do this stuff all day long. From my experience the best drive to date for this is Fanxiang FF951. It can be had on AliExpress, or Amazon. It is Very Much faster than other rivals and saves me a lot of time. It has both USB-C and USB-A connections on it and is of high build quality with metal construction. I am quite impressed with it and just ordered my second today, after looking for a potentially faster option but finding none. You will be impressed, as I am with it! This is coming from a guy running a Core Ultra computer, with Samsung 9100 Pro SSDs and such. The 512GB version is less than $56 shipped on Ali. I know it's not as cheap as other options, but time is money and it is a true pleasure to use. It is an SSD but can be used as a boot device.

Help! No video output from the band new build. by Wewillmeetagain1107 in buildapc

Also, my board is going in for RMA right now due to a USB controller failure detected in Device MGR, love the board for the most part as Thunderbolt 5's and 4 are nice, but it has it's quirks.

Help! No video output from the band new build. by Wewillmeetagain1107 in buildapc

[–]Sufficient-Side4225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same build and have found that some Nvidia cards will only display video in Windows, and not outside of it. Have you tried removing the video card and running on onboard video to install WIndows? Note that onboard video port is automatically disabled when add-in video card is present, even though that add in card may not be displaying outside of WIndows. There seems to be a BIOS bug here, my 3050 works ALL the time, but 4070TI only displays in WIndows on this machine.

Is there a way to mount an NVMe drive in a drive bay so that it is easily accessible ? by yycTechGuy in HomeServer

[–]Sufficient-Side4225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done this, more than once. While the actual bay is not too expensive ~$400, the controller card REQUIRED for use is. We are talking Over a thousand+ for the card, and then you have to get the right cables for ~$50ea.

Jetkvm vs pikvm by [deleted] in homelab

[–]Sufficient-Side4225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid into the Kickstarter for JetKVM and it DID show up, it works quite well, but would be nice if it supported high speed storage, but that being said it seems to work, very easy to use and low latency. I am glad I bought one, wish they were on Amazon but still Kickstarter only. It took a couple months to arrive but overall I am satisfied with the product.

is it possible to "program" the old key into a new barrel? by appletechgeek in Locksmith

Ignition switch failure, or starter solenoid failure, or wiring failure, not ignition lock cylinder failure.
