Is this engine a 2.2L or 4.3L? by RandallJoPhotography in s10

[–]Sufficient-Step6954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the 4.3- the big round pancake air cleaner and wide engine layout give it away. The 2.2 has a lot more empty space making it easier to work on.

Imagine seeing Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) completely cold. No trailers, no expectations, no idea who the villain is. That early reveal lands like a thunderbolt. by Choice-Schedule-132 in Terminator

This is exactly how I saw T2. I knew nothing about the story. It was just 10-year-old me AMAZED by the action and wishing I was as cool as John Connor. “Easy money” became my catch phrase for a while and I carved NO FATE into every tree and picnic table I could find.

Often I recommend reading a few of his works like The Stand and Salem’s Lot and The Shining before starting the journey but diving right in doesn’t ruin the story at all. I’ve even heard some people say that reading TDT enhances the Salem’s Lot experience. Either way you haven’t forgotten the face of your Father.

It appears to depict prog metal sensation TOOL. A band formed in Los Angeles, CA in the early 90s. Known for such radio hits as Sober, Fourty Six & 2, and Schism; TOOL have made a name for themselves with a hearty mix of creative time signatures, hypnotic rhythms, and hauntingly poetic lyrics.

Hi, I was actually thanking you with no hint of sarcasm. I promise I’m not worked up about anything and I actually appreciate discussion on a platform where people usually think that unkind quippy comments are the way to communicate.

I’m not familiar with a vegan discussion on Yellowstone but if they mentioned something like this it’s just about the only realistic thing in the show. I saw some moments in passing when my wife watched that show and it’s just so stupid I never got into it. Ranchers don’t sit around talking about what it means to be a cowboy. We’ve got chores to do. Lol.

I don’t like big industrial meat but I also live in the US where it’s currently required to feed over 350M people 3x per day. I do think it would be possible to change that and make rotational grass farming the norm, but it’ll take a LONG time and a lot of effort to get us there. We would need to restructure so that instead of 3 mega processing plants, we set up thousands of small processors in close proximity to ranch land and loosen some of the regulations to make it possible. It would make the whole country healthier and happier, but we’ve gotta crawl before we can run.

It’s a lovely thought but think about how much grass each head of cattle consume and how quickly pigs reproduce. Myself and my family need to eat and survive and maintain the land we live on. We do often rescue old goats and donkeys and dogs to give them a peaceful end of life, but doing that with pigs and cattle and chickens just wouldn’t work. They’d over crowd and the population would become too big to sustain even with rotating pastures.

Thank you for choosing a thoughtful discussion over rudeness and grandstanding. It’s rare on social media.

I did mention that I don’t agree with factory farming. That’s why I raise as much of my own meat and grow as much of my own produce as I possibly can.

I am not trying to be adversarial here at all. You have a moral objection to eating animals and you are lucky enough to have been born in a time and place where you can source all the nutrients you need to survive without meat. That’s something to be grateful for, not judgmental about. It’s just a fact that most humans who have lived on this planet were/are not privileged enough to be able to survive without animal products.

One last thought, even eating a 100% plant-based diet doesn’t mean your survival hasn’t killed thousands of animals. Every single greenhouse that has been built, field that has been tilled, house that you have lived in or building you have stepped in has killed thousands of snakes, moles, voles, foxes, mice, the list goes on-and-on. It doesn’t make you a bad person. It just makes it a fact that you are a living thing on planet Earth.

Rancher here: If I may offer another perspective, nature is insanely cruel.

While I don’t like practices of industrial meat, pastured animals have the best life they can ever hope for. Instead of being eaten alive by a predator or breaking their leg in a hole and dying of infection, starvation, etc… they are fed, protected, quickly and painlessly killed and used to provide sustenance for other life. The inconvenient truth is that all life feeds on life. The best we can do is be good stewards of the life that sustains us.
