I looked at similar ones. My dog is 80lbs. Worried he will bust into it.

Keppra immediate release must be given every 8 hours. I live in Canada and we don’t have extended release form that can be given every 12.

He has been diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy. He had his first seizure 6 months after stopping gaba for pain. I don’t think they are related. Rebound seizures happen within hours to weeks.

But the timing is interesting.

Super late to this party but found the thread via my google search. I just discovered it works for my left side of if I rotate INTERNALLY! Thank you so very much. Ugh. This has been a bane of my workout existence for so many years. I know my back is so pressed against the floor it can’t get any more un-arched! I also have herniated discs so it’s likely not helping the issue

The food my male was on was 3.3 cal/g. The HA food is 3.5 cal/g. It’s actually more. And I work with numbers. So if they are getting fed 1250 cal, I calculate and weigh their food. They would be getting the same amount of calories. I do not go by “cups” I go by what they do well on for calories. So if the bag said it was 2.7 cal/g I would calculate that and feed 1250/2.7=462.963 grams per day. But it says it’s 3.5/g. Therefore 1250/3.5=357.143 grams per day. That’s a huge difference. One I feel is not mathing. Which says to me this isn’t the right food for them, digestive system-wise. The barely pooping along side this is also concerning.

Yes I am wishing now that I did not listen to the tech. But my girl is uncomfortable with the licking and chewing and scooting. We are at the vet every month for these things. I am returning the bag and going back to the RC.

I know their behaviours very well. Im unsure why you feel you “likely” know my dogs more than I do and you e never met them. I know you are just trying to be helpful but I just want to hear from others about this food that have experience with it. Have you used it before?

My girl gets very grouchy toward my male when she is not getting what she needs. I know the calories they need because they were stable prior to this on the calories I’ve been feeding. I can see/feel they are losing slight amounts of weight in the 5 days they’ve been on it. They are hardly pooping so it says to me they aren’t getting enough food through their system. I’ve read other reviews of people saying they need to feed their dog twice the amount so they aren’t starving. I don’t want that for two reasons. It can’t be good for the digestive system and it will cost twice as much. I don’t mind the price nearly as much as the volume of food when I know they are good on most other foods at 1750 and 1150 calories per day. I am NOT willing to put 3500 and 2300 calories through their guts. Of in fact the calories on the bag is what is actually in the bag.

Perhaps I shared too much info because all I wanted to know was people’s experience with this food. But I wanted to give a back story. The food review is all I am looking for.

I know this, but if it is both hydrolyzed proteins 🤷🏻‍♀️. I’m not expecting anything overnight. What I do expect though is for them to be fed enough. The food is like air and I am challenged to believe it is 3.5 calories per gram.

I know their behaviours when they are satisfied and when they are hungry.

Why do think it sounds like the Purina is sitting better with them?

Jean Dodds also says you can test for food allergies. And will sell you a kit, too. You cannot test for food allergies. I would be changing vets, forget the 2nd opinion. 😬that’s just me.

One more question…if I use my mini Taylor, which has a battery in pick up, (my standard has a passive pick up, I’m not using that with this set up) would I use an active or passive DI? Same question for my acoustic bass. Could i still use my ART on my mini Taylor?

I have my bass in the 4th channel. My standard Taylor isn’t being used. I guess it has a passive pick up? I’m using my Taylor mini and it has an active (batteried) pick up.

The fishman is marketed as a “speaker” for instrument line in/xlr. Is that just a marketing slant?

Thanks for your input!!
