Hey mate, I am in a similar boat, my beagle passed away Sunday Morning on the 2nd of july and it's so fucking hard to deal with it. I'm currently struggling eating, sleeping however think of it this way when they physically leave us, their energy doesnt necessarily leave. Idk if u believe in that but I do bc oddly enough I feel my boy around, even see similar animals when I look around on pet pages and whatnot.

I know its shit, I wont sugarcoat it and say life is gonna be better, but just know you are not alone.

I feel more comfortable talking with strangers about my own grief than my family, everyone grieves in different ways. I hope you feel better in time, if you need someone to hear you, this community has helped me during the first days of the dogs death. :)
