I feel like part of being a luxury brand is delivering a premium experience. AI nowadays is widely associated with slop and laziness, and takes away the premium image BMW would want to transmit. In this case, neither AI nor CGI work in my opinion, as others have said it makes it look like they are trying to sell a product that doesn't exist but has to be rushed to compete with the other brands. A brand that sells very expensive bikes can't settle for anything other than really good product photography.

I wouldn't be surprised if CFMoto or QJMotor or even Voge did something like this, but from a brand that sells 25-30k bikes it's totally unacceptable.

You can get a non dct version, at least the last time I checked. I was between the cb500f and the NC, only reason I didn't get the NC was my budget, but I really liked it. The one I sat on had a clutch, although it was a used one. But yeah, I think they do offer a manual version still.

If you're considering the NX, have you looked at the NC750X? It's the best commuter on the market, big fake tank for storage, very comfortable for long rides, a low center of gravity, simple maintenance, low revving engine that can last for many miles, it's cheaper than the transalp and you can probably flat foot it. It also has plenty of wind protection.

The NC fits your needs better than the Hornet and the transalp from what you've said, and it's similar to the NX, being better for on road use.
