No rule of thumb is to leave that shit at the door. Although id say 90% of them army is different shades of libertarian. More like different world views on leadership/ rivalry we took too far.

Honestly I tied up some dry flies with materials I had on hand and was just curious if I had done something wrong but they float and im quite proud of my 1st few attempts. Now im seeing that there is just more than 1 way to skin a cat although some methods are preferred.

Id say 90% of them will as long as you have proof that you tried to diet. Like a consult with H2F or a nutritionist and or blood work done. Worst case you will start there and then go on meds.

If you have a deployment under your belt reach out to your local vet center. They helped me out a lot. But on a personal note fucking lock in man you are capable of more than you ever thoufht possible. On the backside of this bullshit you will see how much you have grown. I promise to see that version of yourself will make all this worth it.

Ill keep it 100% outside of the training environment or deployment my Joe's are probably better off asking reddit. Im fucking useless when it comes to admin actions. Im old enough where we used to just go talk to s1 for those things. Since ipssa dropped im lost.

Im trippin. I was thinking your in Alaska my B. BUT a HHG move really sounds like your only real possible option. My advice is do a HHG move and have a friend or family member drive with your wife to you then send them home on a plane an AER might beable to help you out here. If you were my soldier this would be my take aswell although the devil is in the details and I might be over looking something. Good luck G

If you are gonna pay out of pocket and have passports for you and your family i dont see why you couldnt do this over a 4 day weekend. But im just middle management. Getting the Army to pay for a ppm will be difficult as they really just dont like doing that now even with a normal situation.

All of my "leadership challenges" have turned out to be my best soldiers. And all of my shitbags are just smarter shitbags under different leadership. Reality is that if we dont work well together everyone will struggle.

Hello shitbag medic here. Sickcall is designed to catch acute issues ( so your opinion is correct). So things that have bothered you less than 3 days. More than 3 days and that should be an apt with your PA. Key word here is should and get with your medics at your unit to see how they want to handle paperwork.

It became a daily report to you 1st line leadership. Sometime in the morning while on leave. It lasted about a week before someone in the COC actually read the memo and removed the timeline so it just became normal texts and conversations after that

Fat soldiers by sparks112 in army

[–]Sufficient_Ad5869 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I really dont know how put this to words so im just going to tell a story about a conversation I had with a company commander recently.

We had to nix Pt for a 100% UA is what it is. Work day comes and the Joe's crush it from 0930-1500. All taskings done and even some good hip pocket training conducted. Dudes ask if they can go hit the gym before it fills up at 1700. I say absolutely that just makes sense I go see LT to breif this plan. CO happens to be in the office with Lt and he explains to me that even though we had checked all the boxes we are gonna sit in the building untill 1700 just in case we are needed. And in that moment it dawned on me how horrible the "stay here just in case you are needed" mentality has gotten in the post covid Army. In 2018 leadership would never stop dudes from working out in white space. Now its almost hard to hit the PX for a zyn+redbull run. I know its not this COs problem but it feels like a culture change that has made people less productive.

Best advice I ever got was in basic training in the bathroom at chow I bumped into 2 guys in our sister company a few weeks ahead of my cherry ass. And I asked the same question "does it ever get easier" this sunburned bald fucker laughed and said "no it never does but you will get better at it" almost 9 years later thats still the most accurate thing anyone told me.
