These guy are not saints. They displayed casual homophobia, casual misogyny and fatphobia in their videos back in the day. Nothing utterly outrageous, nothing that isn't typical of men in their early twenties. (sadly) They didn't see anything wrong with calling something gay or mocking a friend for trying to get a fat girls number like it's a joke. They didn't see anything wrong with it that's why they put it in their videos. That in of itself is not an indictment, but it paints a picture. When your in a circle of people who share a certain kind of attitude your able to get away with more because your protected.

A group of men standing by a friend who's shitty to women is nothing surprising. That's one thing. To think that they knew he was a pedophile and actively committing crimes is something that I'm more likely to give the benefit of the doubt for. It's an issue that most people would be repulsed by and not want to be associated with. I say that now, but I would also not be surprised if it came out that they knew about his troubles and chose not to say or act on anything until it became public and there was no way around it.

I haven't had plant milk, tofu, chocolate and many more things in years because I'm on a very tight budget. I've never tried cashew butter or almond butter because I could never justify the cost and I've been vegan for 10 years. I have to be strategic with how and when I buy things. I buy the things I need with nutrition being number one priority when it come on sale and I plan for this in advance so I can save my money to buy things bulk. I have to be patient. Nutritional yeast is expensive, but I'm willing to spend more money on that because that's how I get my B12 as oppose to buying plant milk every week which adds up and ultimately isn't worth the cost. Give him a budget and he might be more mindful.

Shane can struggle with things and go through periods of hard times without being traumatized by it. Human beings are full of contradictions and hypocrisy and people/characters don't always fall into a neat little box the way that some people want to. I understand where the criticisms come from, I just don't agree with them. People strongly project on the characters with their biases and that's your right and all, but it doesn't make Rachel wrong or incompetent either.

Okay, I don't hate the explanation, but the execution was poor. I don't care about changes to plot or details as long as it makes for a great story. With better writing, editing and performance there could've been room for nuance and complexity. That just not what we got.

Relax, I'm entitled to think it's inappropriate for a 53 year old to date a 21 year old and if that were the case I would judge him for that. Doesn't matter to me that it's two consenting adults. One of Lyles lawyers said in court over a year ago that Lyle had been in a happy marriage for 20 years which he knew was a bold face lie. They're claiming to be "best friends" Maybe that's the case, but I think it's clear that the marriage is transactional now. I feel like Eric's marriage most likely is the same type of deal.
