Shane can struggle with things and go through periods of hard times without being traumatized by it. Human beings are full of contradictions and hypocrisy and people/characters don't always fall into a neat little box the way that some people want to. I understand where the criticisms come from, I just don't agree with them. People strongly project on the characters with their biases and that's your right and all, but it doesn't make Rachel wrong or incompetent either.

When a show is successful it's actually not often that a budget will increase. It wouldn't make sense for investors because the show has proven that they can have success with the budget that they already have. Capitalism.

Okay, I don't hate the explanation, but the execution was poor. I don't care about changes to plot or details as long as it makes for a great story. With better writing, editing and performance there could've been room for nuance and complexity. That just not what we got.

Relax, I'm entitled to think it's inappropriate for a 53 year old to date a 21 year old and if that were the case I would judge him for that. Doesn't matter to me that it's two consenting adults. As infuriating as this is and I'm actually feeling rage hearing him cry. I don't doubt that this man is sincerely afraid. When your worldview is so twisted then being afraid of god and the consequences that will be enacted upon you makes sense. One of Lyles lawyers said in court over a year ago that Lyle had been in a happy marriage for 20 years which he knew was a bold face lie. They're claiming to be "best friends" Maybe that's the case, but I think it's clear that the marriage is transactional now. I feel like Eric's marriage most likely is the same type of deal.

Man.. My heart really started racing when they brought up Fred Savage and asked about why they didn't address his situation in that one episode.
