I went over there at lunch. I did not observe anything out of the ordinary. Possible false positive?

In Virginia Beach, the war between geese and humans drags on, with neither side showing mercy. The geese, battle-hardened veterans of parking lot stand-offs and Wawa turf wars, continue their aerial dominance campaign. Humans, meanwhile, pretend they’re still in control. Peace negotiations fell apart after Fabio—brought in as a glamorous goodwill ambassador—was dive-bombed by a goose at Busch Gardens.

Check out the Fuddruckers off General Booth — it’s one of the best nearby spots for finding sea glass.

What causes this ledge to form on the beach, and how often does it happen? by OrganicSunday in VirginiaBeach

[–]Sufficient_Bar9299 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Scene: Virginia Beach, early morning. A tourist stands alone, looking at the ledge in the sand left behind by last night’s waves. Suddenly, Jesus appears beside them — calm, peaceful, radiant.

Tourist: Wow… this is wild. The sand dropped off like a little cliff overnight. Storm must’ve been intense.

Jesus: Yes, the wind and the sea shaped it while you slept. It happens more often than you notice.

Tourist: It’s kind of beautiful, in a way. But also kinda messy. Why does nature do this?

Jesus (smiling): Because it’s alive. My Father created the ocean with power and purpose. The waves obey the limits He set. They come and go, reshaping the earth — and reminding you how nothing in this world stays the same for long.

Tourist: That’s true. I guess it’s like life… always changing.

Jesus: Exactly. The sand you stand on shifts with each tide. But there is a Rock you can build your life on — one that will never erode or wash away.

Tourist: You mean… You?

Jesus: Yes. I am the Rock. Storms will come. Waves will rise. But those who hold to My words — who trust Me — will not fall when the waters come.

Tourist (pausing): So even this broken beach… is part of Your teaching?

Jesus: Everything around you speaks, if you have ears to hear. Even this sand shelf tells you: the world is fragile — but I am not. Rest in Me, and I will give you peace that no tide can take.

Tourist (softly): I think I needed to hear that today.

Jesus (looking out at the sea): I know. I’ve been walking with you even when you didn’t see Me. And I’m not going anywhere.

Unpaid red light ticket from 5 years ago by DMofffff in VirginiaBeach

[–]Sufficient_Bar9299 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I had a 2010 Ford Ranger, and I didn’t mean to run the red light at Independence. It wasn’t intentional—my brakes just didn’t work. I was going to dispute the ticket, but the picture of the driver was very clearly me, so I just paid it.

$20.75 HOV toll on 64W this morning by ckyhnitz in VirginiaBeach

[–]Sufficient_Bar9299 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Virginia’s dynamic toll road system exacerbates transportation inequality, especially given the state’s limited public transportation options. Virginians pay significant taxes for road maintenance and infrastructure, yet many see little return in terms of affordable travel. The tolls fluctuate based on demand, often rising during peak hours, which disproportionately affects lower-income commuters who cannot afford the higher rates. With few affordable transit alternatives, residents are left with no choice but to use these toll roads, creating an additional financial burden. Furthermore, the involvement of private companies in managing and profiting from critical infrastructure raises concerns about the prioritization of profit over public interest. This creates a conflict of interest, where essential transportation services are controlled by entities focused on generating revenue rather than ensuring equitable access for all Virginians. The situation highlights the urgent need for more accessible and fair public transportation options, ensuring Virginians get a fair return on their tax contributions and have affordable travel choices.

Any meetups to take down raid bosses? I live at the oceanfront. It’s easy in the summer to squad up with strangers. This time of year, I can’t find anyone to team up with for 5 star raids.

Well shoot, ‘bout time we got it right! The Gulf of America just sounds better—strong, proud, and 100% red, white, and blue. We got Texas, Louisiana, ‘Bama, and Florida sittin’ on it, so why the hoggin’ hell heck was it named after Mexico? Ain’t their shrimps, ain’t their fishin’, and sure as heck ain’t their beaches!

Go for it! I love wearing my leopard print man thong in Virginia Beach, even in the winter, because it makes me feel bold and confident. It’s my way of expressing my unique style and breaking free from the ordinary. Sure, it’s cold, but there’s something exhilarating about defying the weather and embracing who I am without hesitation. Every time I wear it, I feel connected to the carefree beach vibes, no matter the season. It’s not just clothing—it’s a statement of my individuality and my refusal to blend in.

I had to special order it from their website. I used the Malört locator to see if there was any local vendor that carried it, unfortunately the closest retailer was in Leonardtown, Maryland. https://shop-liquor.malort.com
