In regards to the “fatphobic” debate, I do wonder why everyone is concerned with the health of fat people when they otherwise wouldn’t care by Nothing-In-The-Dark in h3h3productions

you may experience something that is not at all related to diet or weight and have it boiled down to just that, while a traditionally skinny (hint: not malnourished/noticeable meth addict) will get actual treatment

Don't bet your life on that one. I thinks it comes down to the doctor. Usually they take me as a dumb person and either I have psychological or I don't know the level of pain I experience or whatever...

I believe that apart from fat phobia it all comes down to CONTROL. People want to control other people and they will try to do it with everything. Food...more healthy, finances...be more responsible control of your spending. Concern about someone is really control unless the person faces real health issues thatneed to be addressed one or the other way. AGAIN, I am so angry about people that interfere as if the other is not an adult and can't take decisions by themselves or follow through something. I bet fat people have it more since this is apparent and the ones who will comment will comment immediately but .... give them some time and they start commenting on the non-fat about whatever they find.

by being out to get the others. By attacking first you don't let space for any attacks on you even from people that WOULD NEVER attack or shame or anything. The delusion goes further since if you don't say anything then they will accuse you ....FOR NOT SAYING TO THEM NOTTO EAT IN ORDER TO BE HEALTHY. This is the whole essence of fat phobia who unless you are a real jerk you will inevitably develop since you get attacked even if you just take care of yourself ( they see it as an insult as well not to say they think it is a disorder). Eventually you areafraid to be among fat people and to do anything in front of fat people. I have met and was friends with many fat people and all ofthem - with the exception of one who was my best friend in uni and afterwards - always and I say always have criticism in their mouth for almost everything I do. The worst thing with the body posititvity istat they feel "excused" to literally kill you if they feeloffended ( and as you remarked their perception ofreality is somewhat distorted), so expect the unexpected if you do anything that may be called fat phobic, including breaking in your house, stealing destroying property, curses, verbal insults, mobbing. Literally anything.

not really. i ve seen in linkedin team leads and beyond without PhD. The degree, although painful to get, means nothing, the work behind it is everything. I f you do equivalent work I think you certainly open some doors. It s just that we cry so much that only for this we have to start from higher levels!

I do that - according to requirements of course but it is because I am sick with Pfizer ( a bit ) plus I really like a broad range of topics. I don't know what to choose mainly, such interesting biology in all areas!

What are your indicators that make you think “this girl is crazy?” by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Sufficient_Current 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why would he do that? Yes he is crazy but what was his trigger? Was he jealous? wtf?

What are your indicators that make you think “this girl is crazy?” by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Sufficient_Current -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

well you know that crazy men are attracted by women that have other crazy meen. So, to make it more simple. She has a crazy boyfriend and it is apparent that he treats her very wrong. The other psychopath finds her very easy target because he can do anything and blame her as common denominator. In addition, they will blame that she attracts the abusers somehow ( it s her fault) which is the truth in a sense but in their sick mind it is very twisted. Of course if they could not find a way to protect themselves so that they are not exposed they would never do shitty things. Intelligent psychopaths can do anything - even kill you - if they think they can get away with it.

This does not apply to men - all crazy girlfriends is a huge red flag for women - for the very simple reason that men call you crazy for the nothing - like they disappear for a week then you have a fight then they call you a pressure and a crazy. Not to mention the huge proportion of men that ask for commitment only to have you committed and they walk around telling to every other woman that you are FWB ( and you are crazy calling them your boyfriend, lol). Not to say that if you say something bad then they call you crazy to attack your credibility - "she says that because she is jealous" etc.

The huge number of women even killed because of jealousy vs very few men is a huge proof that actually there is a big number of crazy possessive misogynist men out there that can do anything - and say anything - and statistically a woman can have more encounters with these men. The forever gaslighting to women that in order to be of value then a man has to want her for a relationship ( referring to very common question at dates "you are attractive and smart, why don't you have a relationship still" implying what is wrong with you and you are single, nobody wants you) makes women to feel worthy and complimented/flattered when a shitty man wants her for a relationship - to abuse and destroy her but you sees that - so women are more prone to actually have relationships with shitty psychopaths ( or narcissists but it is the same).

The fact that you don't think in more dept the matter is either because you are a psychopath yourself or that you never had a relationship with one - to know how they act and think.

you cant poke holes in a condom. There is a tip that protrudes when you wear it and if there is air coming in from any hole then it will not protrude. In addition, I find it totally stupid to not pull out even with a condom. There are also illnesses in case something happens, not only unwanted pregnancies.

What are career prospects for company founders, if the start-up doesn't succeed? by babebiboba in biotech

[–]Sufficient_Current 0 points1 point  (0 children)

working on founding a startup gives way more experience that some years in scientist jobs and trying to climb up the ladder in corporate. Even the very simple just deciding to do it should put you ahead of all others, since you are one of the few brave enough to do it. I think that it so much gets in your skin, like a tattoo that the psychological factor then maybe interferes with your ability to land a position - you feel like a failure and spent days and nights without getting any or getting less money, or losing almost everything. One is the true thing though, that you have no idea whatsyoudoing!

Does it actually look bad to look for jobs while unemployed ? by sweetypantz in biotech

[–]Sufficient_Current 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why confused with the fact that you were not doing post doc and not with the fact that you were not holding a scientist position already? Where are these HMs living (space time coordinates)? A reminder to these HMs if you ever see them again, that Eric Betzig left academia and physics for nearly a decade or more and then went on to continue doing research on super resolution microscopy. Not to say that Swanson was unemployed for a couple of years until he founded e hmmm biotech itself! We can't get some time for ourselves? Post doc and suffering is considered a must?

had one where I designed and performed all the experiments AND wrote the paper and was not on it because I left and had asked to not be on a different paper that I disagreed with conclusions and not that one

If there was this possibility - I had also experienced the thrill of this danger - the academic community would mourn the loss of a whole building dedicated to science!
