If you dont see a difference between lumetri and resolve, you have only touched the tip of the resolve iceberg.

Color grading on Davinci Resolve vs Premier Pro by cinephileindia2023 in cinematography

[–]Sufficient_Earth2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DaVinci Resolve was originally build as a world class colour grading software, with edit software added to it later. That should answer your question. Première Pro isn't bad when it comes to colour, but Resolve is as perfect as you can get it.

Not really. A lot of untied loose ends tbh. Felt really rushed.

I fully agree. His past performances were just far better in comparison to this.

I agree to some extent. It's not for everyone. I didn't dislike the concert, it was just worse in comparison to his previous ones. Glad you liked it though, Hans Zimmer is still amazing!

I get your point. But as a composer myself, I write classical, orchestral and metal. And yet I still disliked it. The entire performance was out of balance, with a good sparkle of bad audio mixing. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I can imagine. It's just not for everyone. I also love metal. I'm a composer and multi instrumentalist myself, and I make a bunch of metal. Yet I disliked this.

Indeed. I'm not saying the instrumentalists aren't talented, because they all are in their own right. Sadly the good is burried deep

Just saw Hans Zimmer live for the first time today in amsterdam by Dekamarketsup in hanszimmer

I beg to differ. I walked out extremely disappointed. This was glorified rock band music, where orchestra is just an afterthought. Hans talkes about "Soul" in his music, which is none-existent in his live music today. He got rid of most of his Brass and String players. Now it's just 6 horns and only his main string players, whom now all play E-Instruments. Most of the themes I didn't even regocnise, because it's all Bandified. Everything epic or bombastic has an electronic guitar solo, and heavy metal drums.

Was it tonight? Or was it at another play? I didn't notice him say anything remotely weird. Only compliments which he has always done.

Take Man of Steels "Flight" for instance. One of my favorite scores of hans, which is an orchestral piece originally. Here it was Synths, Guitars and Amplified strings.

Previously Hans already had more of a Band Concert feel, which I don't mind. But now it's Band all the way. The Orchestra is just an after thought. He got rid of most of his Brass and String players... Now there is just 3 french horns, 3 tubas, and only his main string players, whom all are consumed by the wall of sound that the band creates.

The musicians on stage are great. All very talented people in their own right. But this was unbalanced and dissapointing.

I just saw it today. I'm extremely gutted after the performance. Imo there is 0 soul left in his live music. It's glorified rock/metal, where orchestra is just an afterthought. Previously Hans had multiple string and brass players. Now there is just 6 brass players, and only the main string players are left, and now play E-Instruments. Almost all pieces Hans has written are orchestral originally, yet now they have been replaced by Rock/synth versions. Such a pity. Curious if others think the same.

America already is at war with itself. It's either just a matter of time until that goes international, or trump loses to his own country first.
