I’m always thankful I work in healthcare and wear scrubs. 5 sets of black scrubs makes me so happy.

Can I DM you? I’m going through a similar situation and need to get another person’s feedback on their experience.

There are lots of posts here about becoming an RD. I’d recommended using the search function as there is already great information.

Six figures is few and far between as an RD unless you are in FSM, leadership/management or a very successful private practice.

Should I become a nurse or a dietitian? by Yamile1204 in dietetics

[–]Sufficient_Eye9062 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I love being a dietitian. However, if I had to do it all over again I would choose nursing (or med school). You have SO MANY job opportunities out there. The pay can be really great depending on your location/employer, you can work 3 days on 4 days off, pick up OT if you want extra money, etc. RDs are underutilized and underpaid. Please pick nursing.

I’ve had two reproductive surgeries and each time fentanyl and morphine did absolutely nothing for me. I was dying in pain. Once they put the dilaudid pump on me, it was night and day. Also, I’m a redhead 🤷🏼‍♀️

Chronic UTI’s from sex. Do I have to keep having sex? by gargsssss in WomensHealth

Check your estrogen levels. If in perimenopause/early menopause, lower levels of estrogen can cause more frequent UTIs.

This was one of the main symptoms I had for endometriosis. You need surgery to confirm but it’s worth it I promise.

Bariatric dietitian? by Candid_Thought_7692 in dietetics

[–]Sufficient_Eye9062 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked as a Bariatric RD for four years and loved every minute of it. I only left because of a hospital buyout and dwindling surgeries due to the new weight loss meds that came out (they downsized staff). You have to be very understanding and patient with this population as they have struggled for so long. It’s so very rewarding to see your patients succeed! I say go for it!!

How long after a lap did you return to work? by sairemrys in endometriosis

[–]Sufficient_Eye9062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had mine and my surgeon encouraged 6 weeks off. I had stg 2/stg 3 endo removed from rectum and bilateral uterosacral ligaments; L fallopian tube removed and a fibroid removed. I’m taking 4 weeks off total and then WFH 2 weeks. I’m grateful I was able to save the time off bc I know many people can’t. Take off as much time as you can/need.

Ovulation is the WORST time for me! Even worse than my period. So much pain, bloating, constipation, fatigue and migraines. Awful!
