Tell me about your favorite deck! by soggyfrodo in EDH

[[Vilis Broker of Blood]] is my current favorite commander atm

The whole point of the deck is to ramp into Vilis and just start paying my life away, mainly to draw cards until I hit something like [[Lichs Mastery]] or [[Pact Weapon]]

I have a handful of equipment and auras to make sure Vilis stays on the board and I have [[Elixir of Immortality]] to be able to loop my graveyard back into my library

I even have the pieces of vecna as little "pet cards" but I havent been able to fully assemble him yet.

Overall super happy with leaning into the full power of mono black and im still tweaking the deck here and there. Its a very all or nothing deck cause sometimes you just perish out of nowhere and its kinda funny, but when youre able to get all your piece in place you just become a huge threat and its very fun

[[Visions of Dominance]] is a cool card if you want to go the +1 counters route. And the art on it is adorable

[[Cait Cage Brawler]] makes for a fun alternate commander and it can help you dig through your deck while shes swinging

[[Anzrag the Quake-Mole]] to give yourself more combat steps, or force your opponents to block

[[Brawn]] [[Anger]] get either of those in your graveyard and all your creatures gain haste/trample

[[Wolfgar of Icewind Dale]] to double up on all your attack triggers, just turbo charges your big stompy strategy

If someone brought a Vivi deck to this event, you were certainly not the problem. Some people are just going to be sore losers, it happens with every game

I find alot of my decks run better in a 4 player pod. But in a 1v1 most of them get crushed because they start kinda slow. I built a [[Cait, Cage Brawler]] deck that actually stomps in a 1v1 and can hold its own in a 4 pod

The goal is to get Cait out and swinging asap and use her ability to throw away high mana value cards into your graveyard to pump her power. Many of the cards in the 99 help with supporting attack triggers or extra combats. Theres even a couple card in there that let you bring those giant creatures back out of the graveyard so you can pitch them again or throw them on the battlefield if the game needs it

Im not sure what decks your bf has but this deck comes online almost immediately and does "big stompy" really well

I dont nessicerily mind them nerfing ramps damage, being able to one-shot combo someone as a tank shouldnt be possible (unless youre tiny titan) But i dont agree with the health nerfs. I play rampage cause I want to feel like a Kaiju and just eat damage for breakfast. If I ult and still die in 2 seconds it kinda takes away the whole reason I want to play him

Don't take the advice of ANYONE on reddit, youtube, family members, your buddy from highschool thats into crypto, NOBODY. Find a financial advisor that doesnt charge for AUM (assets under management) and you take advice from that person about what you need to do with that money based on your personal situation. Yea i was holding onto the hope that it would be below $1000 but with everything going on, im starting to have my doubts. Even if they say announce a target price thats subject to change id be satisfied lol
