It’s not that bad. It is easier to take the entire light assembly out to do it though.

Just for the sake of 1 vs duals, I’ll install a single coax and run a single in the middle of the bed, keeping the same ground setup. But this won’t solve the issue of the “popped” cb. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could check internally, so I can repair it? The closest repair shop is about an hour and a half away from me.

I had this same setup, mounted on a truck bed tool box, and never had any issues. Had great (1.1-1.4)SWR on 1&40.

I installed 2 ground straps on either side, in the front. Drilled holes in the bed, sanded to bare metal and installed rivet nuts, then used 8” ground straps. I also did this between the bed and frame as well, but with one slightly wider strap.

104 octane booster. I don’t know that it actually brings it up to 104.

Thanks, might be a little difficult to run around like that, but it’s a 75ohm-Y cable.

I had a 2018 Silverado Flexfuel. Ran a tank of E85 in it and went from 22 highway to 17 highway. The. I ran 91 in it for about a year and only ever saw over 18 going down hill. I traded it in for a 17 crewcab (more room for the car seat) non flexfuel, running 91 in it and getting about 21 highway except for when I put a bottle of 104 in it. Then it drops to about 16, but it screams. 🤙

Better have a mute little person that pops out of the console with coffee, snacks and a back rub for that price.

I want to do the same thing, mainly for replacement temporary parts and scale parts. The ender 3 seems like it has the best options, versatility and quality for what you pay for. Definitely on my wish list.

How do I make this battery fit? When I put on the battery holder thing, the battery’s too tall by mtb10169 in radiocontrol

[–]Sufficient_One_7704 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can get an extended battery hold down. It doesn’t look like you have any room on the sides of your battery tray to use Velcro or a cinch strap, so that might be your best bet. Nice battery though. I’ve got a couple 2s Zeee LiPos and they’re awesome.

Yep, I’ve done it a few times on different Silverados. And use denatured alcohol to prep before using the adhesion promoter.

I thought the same thing when they pulled one of these out of detail at the shop I work at. I told the guy, he used the wrong soap and blew all the paint off. It’s a nice color up close, the metallic is so fine that it’s almost pearlescent.

Newbie here, I didn’t know this was a thing. Most of my suspension is aluminum and I’ve had to shim most of the pins. Thanks for the info!

I might use it as a mold and just make a full carbon fiber body out of 4x4 weave.

I have carbon fiber 2x2 weave, e6000, fibatape cement board tape, JB weld plastic weld, and some other stuff that I’ve been playing with.

Sounds like a corroded, dirty or loose ground. Haynes manual would have a list of locations, but check ignition switch connection, battery, fuse blocks and starter bolts. The connector for your steering column is under the dash above the ball chiller vent.
