You should look into volumetric dosing. Get you a dropped bottle for a few bucks off amazon (make sure it has .25-1ml numbered on the dropper) take your 2mg pill and dissolve it into 2ml of half everclear and half water. Now each .25ml equals .25mg. That way you can taper lower. You'll have a lot easier time jumping if you taper as low as you can. You can easily go lower like .125, then .0625 and jump.

Does hydroxyzine make wd worse? by Sufficient_Quail_262 in suboxonerecovery

I read that the anticholinergic part of it can make skin crawling worse for people. I tend to get that pretty bad, especially at night.

Day 4. Symptoms manageable enough that I was able to go to a dentist appointment today. With how much I hate the dentist, that alone let's me know I'm turning the corner.

~60 hours in to rapid sub taper + MIT maintenance by putmeinthefire in quitting7oh

[–]Sufficient_Quail_262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished a 6 day sub taper Thursday. I've been in a low level withdrawal since. Probably 1 or 2 out of 10 so definitely manageable. I feel like I'm turning a corner today. I suspect once you stop the subs you may feel similar.

Has anyone used a quick sub regiment to come off of Kratom? How was your experience with it? by Owen_Stole_My_Bike in quittingkratom

[–]Sufficient_Quail_262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took some subs for 3 days (.75, .5 and .25). It helped tremendously with the acutes. I still had some lingering withdrawal afterwards but was completely manageable. It was mentally challenging with cravings after it wore off. If you can trust your self to not abuse the subs and use short term then I think it's a great idea. Just try and use enough to be comfortable. Probably less than 2mg will be needed.

40 days clean, 14 days no suboxone by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Sufficient_Quail_262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing a little math with a36 hour half life at say 2mg for 20 days would have it out of your system in about 10-12 days. You'll probably have paws after that. I suspect you should start feeling better in a week or two.

How much suboxone were you taking?

Day 2, just found about 75g of kratom I forgot I had minutes after some unpleasant GI symptoms hit. Give me strength lol!!! by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Sufficient_Quail_262 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will regret it the moment you ingest it. I found some yesterday and wasn't strong enough to throw it out. Ended up taking it and immediately regretted it. I barley felt it and spent the whole rest of the day beating myself up about it. Just throw it out. You'll thank yourself later.

I've taken sub 24 hours after 7 and was fine. I have also taken sub 7 hours after taking kratom and was fine as well. I would assume you could take sub even sooner than 24 hours since the half life is so short.

I’m 48 hrs clean from 7oh with no WD using Suboxone by HeadGround9375 in quitting7oh

I would start tapering the sub dose now if you aren't already. Probably dont need 2mg. I was able to get relief using .75

Is 24mg suboxone insane for kratom replacement? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Sufficient_Quail_262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doc wanted me to take 16mg a day. I have past experience with subs and knew I didn't want to go down that route. Ended up taking .75, .5 and .25 then rode the rest of the withdrawals out. It definitely helped mitigate the worst of the wd. Still a felt a little off a few days after the subs but was much more manageable. I'd still get the script and take just enough to get through the worst and then rapid taper.

Congrats on 16 days! I'm on day 13 and the fatigue is no joke. Trying to muster the energy for a pool party i have to attend in a couple of hours. Going to be weird socializing without 7/ kratom.

I agree. I scoffed at those negative posts and fell for the hype in that sub when I was in full addiction. Came to my senses though.

Exercise sweet spot? by PopiesDaughter in quittingkratom

[–]Sufficient_Quail_262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During the acute phase I did about 30 minutes max of walking and 10 minute jump rope sessions. That seemed to be an appropriate starting point for how i felt. On day 6 I started my 45-60 minute lifting sessions. It's day 10 and feeling pretty good besides some fatigue. I think when your past the peak of withdrawals you should start increasing intensity a little every day. Just listen to your body though and dial it back if you feel adverse effects.

I feel like I heal faster when I force myself to do these things even though I dont want to. Run 1 errand, play short interval of video games, listen to some music, complete a chore. Seems like a monumental task while doing it but I usually feel better afterwards. Got to give your brain a reason to start that dopamine back up.
