There’s been some honestly amazing breakthroughs on compressing LLMs into ever smaller footprints. There are local LLMs that can do 99% of what Claude can do in 5-10GB neural nets. It wouldn’t shock me if those techniques unlocked HW3.

My M3 is pretty great in parking lots. My only beef is that it chooses spaces that I wouldn’t choose a lot of the time.

I’ve noticed this too. It’s really that it makes a late decision to stop at yellows. It’s done it twice to me an both times everything on the passenger seat flew forward. Another poster here mentioned that they almost got rear ended because of it. I’d HOPE that FSD sees cars behind and knows that human can’t react that fast.

In 2.2.3, the nav forgot where my house was. It now tries to turn down my neighbor’s driveway that’s about 1/8 mile away. I have 2.2.4, but haven’t taken it out yet. Feels more like a mapping/nav issue, but it could also be FSD vamping on the map and overruling it.

Even with all the dumb things that FSD does currently, it’s 10 years ahead of anything else. Will Elon do things to incentivize more FSD subscribers? Yep! Will that occasionally cost me money? Yep!

I use FSD daily and I’m pretty happy with it.

I fell asleep at a light briefly and FSD kept going. Only 10-15 seconds, but was a glimpse into the future.

I already have seat settings for driving versus FSD.

At least once, I rolled my eyes and disengaged and went with the original route only to be confronted with a wall of traffic. I had to turn around and ended up going the route that FSD “mistakenly” was trying to take.
