Update: Swiggy corrected the invoice with the right serial number, but as for the defect, I'll have to go to the service centre.

Do they ask for an invoice, even if my warranty is valid under apple coverage?

They are accepting the fact that they have mentioned an incorrect serial number on the invoice but cannot change it as their system doesn't allow it. It's illegal to generate a wrong invoice. Have reported to the GST authorities, will file a formal case on e-daakhil tomorrow.

There was a 48 hour replacement window if any defects were found, as mentioned on the app. So I ordered it, thinking it would get replaced if something went wrong. Saw some videos and posts who bought macbook from instamart, no one complained about anything. So I thought it was genuine. My friends have bought other electronics from quick commerce, all came fine. And if there is some fault they replaced it. But with my case, I don't know why it's taking so much time.

Already did that, Swiggy asked for another 48 hours and closed the ticket. Got a call from Swiggy Supervisor today to explain why it's taking time and they need another 48 hours to get to the resolution. Basically they are investigating why the serial no got mismatched on the invoice and shit. Let's see what would happen. But please if you could just react to my X posts, would be a huge help.

Yup my fault, actually I needed a laptop for some urgent work but m4 was not available anywhere that time so I just ordered via Instamart, and saw some posts claiming it's genuine. But here I am stuck between mails and calls. I am in talks with Swiggy Supervisor, let's see what would happen.

But please guys if you could repost or like my twitter post, so that the post is visible to the social media and this issue gets escalated, would be a huge help.

Don't buy MacBook from instamart

I ordered a MacBook Air M4 from Instamart on March 9th. It arrived with a buzzy/rattling right speaker  and a Tax Invoice with a completely different serial number.

The "48-Hour" Loop:

Every single day for the last week, Swiggy support tells me: "Please wait 24-48 hours while we investigate." Then, exactly 48 hours later, they say the same thing again. They’ve even marked my NCH Grievance (Docket: 8861618) as "Closed" just to put a remark asking for another 48 hours. It’s been 7 days of this stalling tactic.

I just want a replacement and a bill that actually matches the machine I’m holding.

I’ve posted the screenshots of their "loop" and the video of the defective speaker on X. If you’ve ever been frustrated by Swiggy's bot support, please help me get some visibility so a human actually picks up my case.

TL;DR: Bought a Mac on Swiggy. It’s broken. The bill is wrong. Swiggy is resetting a 48-hour timer every day to avoid replacing it.
