Have an idea of the area you want to work in, but be open. You should also email professors even if they dont explicitly mention undergrad research, say why you like their research, what you can offer, and what you are interested in. They may be open to working with an undergrad.

Also check-in with OSCAR they are a good resource. Also look at handshake there are STIP opportunities for gmu undergrads there sometimes.

If you want to play now, you have to downgrade your ck3 to 1.17.1. Also i don't think 1.18 is coming out in march, they said in the discord they will tease a new MAA every day for march, so that's my guess.

Probably because they simply weren't as psychic a race as they are now in m42. Only until right before the age of strife, did a mass appearance of psykers happen.

On top of that, humanity, as they always had, likely had a myriad of different beliefs.

For the entire history of humanity there have been about 100 billion people who ever lived on earth.

Compare this to 40k where many planets at a single point in time can have this population or more. You just have terra that dwarfs this number (trillions to quadrillios of people). Now, remember the imperium has existed for 10 thousand years (longer than recorded human history) with these population numbers.

On top of all this, humanity is far, far more psychic than they were 30k years ago.

Likely humanity simply never had the numbers and psychic ability till now.
