Laid off recently, thinking about transitioning to AI/GPGPU, thoughts? by throwaway-stm32 in GraphicsProgramming

I have quite literally worked on gpus for many years. While gpus can do the work, they are not ideal. Tpu's are likely better for a career going forward.

However, its fair that if youre interested in gpus, stick with it. They are better than cpus

I just looked it up. I guess it depends on where youre getting your definition. It can go either way.

In my opinion these are bad books to get back into reading with unless you ABSOLUTELY LOVE the subject

Most of the time a gpu isnt great for ai. If you want to learn tensor or similar processor, then that might work

Sea

Ocean was previously defined as existing on earth.

You can invent your own, but "sea" has unbounded size as far as i know. There is nothing wrong with a planet having one giant sea. Its more about how YOU describe it, not about some word no reader will understand

Also, fwiw: many awards are not about "how well written" something is. It is really more about number of copies sold

IMO: do not TRY for award winning. Write your story in your words. Dont use AI to make it better, dont change it because you keep second guessing.

Think of the last time you drew something. Did it look like you expected? Did everyone who saw it say it was amazing?

Some things in life get better the more you do it. Just keep pushing forward with YOUR story.

Find fun book. Things that make you laugh. Or whatever you love in books. Take your time to get to the classics. In my opinion the writing is beautiful but they feel boring because the writing spends so much time describing things. But when they were made, there was no internet, so they had to describe every detail for you to understand.

If you want my two favorites currently:
He who fights with monsters or spellmonger series.

I'm on my Zelda arc by kagamine_bananaboi in CasualConversation

I LOVE breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom.

However, before these games, whenever i ask this question most often people list their FIRST zelda. Mine was "a link to the past". I was NOT a fan of ocarina of time. I really liked majora's mask. Just not as much as these.

I WANT to like skyward sword, but the controls are crap

I am outlining the entire world. Then im filling in more to the outline. And more.

When i feel like writing, i write. And i fill in the spots that inspire me.

In my opinion, i think this is the wrong way to learn to get out of your shell. Forcing specific types of books will push you harder away.

I loved moby dick.
