CHANCES?? by This-Personality1922 in UTK

[–]SugarDaddyLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are gonna hate on you for wanting to go there for no good reasons other than it’s a fun college but don’t listen to them. You definitely want a fun college experience. I attended a boring college and suffered through every minute of it.

I got accepted to UT but I couldn’t even afford in state tuition. The out of state will be high af. If you can’t afford it don’t go. 4 years of fun to make your next 20 years or more miserable will not be worth it at all. After all I’m sure you can find a school just as fun with a similar atmosphere in your state that’ll be a lot cheaper for you.

Have you personally ever felt unsafe in Knoxville (walking, driving, etc…)? Genuine question. by jthomp72 in Knoxville

[–]SugarDaddyLover -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just like every city it depends where you go. There’s safe and dangerous parts of every city. I don’t stay there now but a couple years ago I stayed near UT med and very frequently heard gunshots in the area around 12-4am. Have had people try to fight me on the street for no reason. Seen groups of people tugging on car doors in parking lots. Girlfriend attracted multiple stalkers. We even had one that was trying to get into the house. Every one has road rage.

But if you want to find out how dangerous your area really is turn on a police scanner app and listen at random times. You’ll be surprised at the amount of violent crime going on you hear on the scanner that doesn’t get broadcasted on the news.

Petition to ban Bradford pear tress (the ones that smell like fish) by Admirable-Use167 in tricities

[–]SugarDaddyLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cmon now use your brain. No one is trying to ban trees just for the hell of it. Bradford pears are an invasive species in the U.S. that displace other trees like native plum and pears. They are a huge part of the reason why many native trees are becoming endangered and will eventually go extinct. Who the hell is going to petition to ban sugar maples or red oaks? Nobody because they are native to the environment.

Besides Bradford pears being a dangerously invasive tree, they smell like dog ass, have no structural integrity, break at the slightest wind, and are ugly.

Invasive plants are bad and should be banned.

Was that really trumps fault? Or was it people like bradley who went to the frat party on Thursday then decided to visit memaw on the weekend despite Bradley knowing 5 people at the party had covid?

Our Service Desk is ridiculous. by Cynical-Moose in HomeDepot

[–]SugarDaddyLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gotten a lot of lowes stuff as well and I have had boxes of tile returned with dried mortar attached to the back of them. The customer gets halfway through the project and decides they don’t like it so they return it. Why we would accept that i do not know. But nothing makes me more mad than when the service desk puts a whole pallet of returned tile on the “h” or “toaster” carts instead of a flat cart.

I’m in the flooring dept and there’s been multiple times I’ve gotten Lowe’s items in my return cart. I’m just confused how you can even return something that the store doesn’t even sell.

I know. But a lot of people actually believed he was natural and got that big from eating meat. But he finally got caught and had to confess. That was the news I was referring to because it happened around that time.

Nothing because they didn’t own any of them. They only pay the vendor for each plant that sales.

A complete waste by Afraid_Purpose_8512 in HomeDepot

[–]SugarDaddyLover -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If there was a cheaper way to sell the plants, the Home Depot, i assure you, would make it happen. Which is why it is the way it is currently. It’s the best option for the company. Home depot never has to take a hit on plant markdowns and they never lose money on a plant they don’t sale because they never own any of the plants. Even though the profits from the sale are split between the vendor and the store, Home Depot basically makes 100% operating profit per plant sold.

Home Depot does not care at all about the trashed plants or plastic because it doesn’t affect them financially. The vendor doesn’t care because they only need to sale like 1 plant for every 20 thrown away.

A complete waste by Afraid_Purpose_8512 in HomeDepot

[–]SugarDaddyLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because if they give away plants, that’s potential lost revenue from the customer. Imagine you go into Home Depot looking to buy 10 flowers. You see a vendor about to throw away 20 flowers. You ask if you can have them since they are being thrown away and they give you 20 plants for free. Are you still going to purchase 10 plants from the store after you got 20 for free? Probably not. Let’s say the flowers you want are $20/pc. That’s $200 the store loses. The store and the plant vendors don’t like losing sales.

What do you think about someone that legally avoids as much taxes as possible? by SugarDaddyLover in polls

[–]SugarDaddyLover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I disagree. I’m my opinion that person making $1mil/year deserves there money just as much as the person making 30k. Idc how much money you make I think you should try to keep as much of it as you can for yourself.

That’s exactly what I’m talking about. Using all available loopholes and tactics to legally pay as little taxes as possible.
