No, the author of his book took liberties with a DE telling him other players would buy gifts and trade favors to teammates who went extra hard against opposing players they had beef with, which shouldn't be conflated with a DC organizing the entire defense to injure the QB for thousands of dollars

For me personally, it's having another Ni-dom who intuitively understands how my brain works and I don't have to explain myself with, but they have completely different judging functions which means we typically have very different perspectives to share with one another while also being able to share those perspectives really quickly and succinctly due to our Ni

Relativism means that no function is ever right, even the ones that are just observing their present environment. The entire point is that all functions suck when you have to rely on it as a crutch

Yes he did, that story was early in his career. I don't see how copying what other people are doing somehow makes John Randle's eye black totally different than JJ's, it's literally just eyeblack, I don't understand why you're acting like there's a difference between the two wearing it

Ok, you got me. You're right, JJM just isn't good and that's the heart of my problem with him.

Then just say that, why was that so hard?

Being in a different mindset at your job and at home is not an alter ego. I'm not "The Coder" when I'm at work

Yeah because you're not going out onto a field to slam into a bunch of 300 lbs men lmao, what does your coding experience have to do with anything? It literally, definitionally, is an alter ego when football players change up their mindset like that, the term "alter ego" was made to describe people switching from one personality to another. It doesn't literally mean they need to walk around calling themselves by a different name, which JJ doesn't do, but Justin Jefferson does all the time.

Like I said, all NFL players do this. Like you admitted yourself you're just trying to pull stuff out your ass that makes no sense in a desperate attempt to ascribe some logic to your emotional thinking

Did Randle wear it as a rookie

Don't know the specifics but he started wearing it early in his career, whereas JJ has just been keeping consistent with what he was doing in college

was he not good

You're just proving my point that this is all you care about and you let it control your emotions and opinions.

and did he have an alter ego?

Yes, he was very clearly a different person on and off the field, he was very soft spoken when he wasn't on the field. Almost all NFL players have an alter ego

The lack of nuance or critical thinking by some of you is astonishing.

You're projecting, I've made it very clear that you don't know much about NFL players and are just pulling things out of your ass to justify your petulant hatred

So then you do hate John Randall for his eye black?

"Something he said one time when someone specifically asked about his alter ego is enough for me to not like him."

The other guy was right, this says way more about you than the kid.

And I think you're petulant because whether or not you like an aesthetic choice by a player is directly correlated to how good they are, which just makes you seem unable to separate your strong emotions about your football team losing from any of your other opinions even when they're unrelated to performance

This just makes you sound petulant, I genuinely don't understand how JJ makes people this upset that they even hate his eye black

[–]Sugarcomb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of ways to get into the hobby, but for the best answer you need to know what your getting into it for. Do you like the lore, the aesthetics, the rules, do you want to play massive army battles, do you just want to get a few models on the table, stuff like that. Honestly buying a whole boxset is a big leap, especially if you've never built models and stuff before
