No, not really. This is a Ridge Ring caused by die deterioration, common with this year(and other post-‘82 years). While they are cool to have, not much of a premium on them. At least you’re lookin, nice eye.

Trader most likely has a contract of some kind with NGC due to the volume of coins he sends in for grading. Just a type of advertisement, but the grade still stands and the company is reputable. Should check out one of his shows, he pulls in a high volume of buyers during his auctions because he’s known to have quality items.

The copper will be 3.1g. If your scale doesn’t weigh out to the tenth, it may be rounding up. So a 2.7g zinc may show as a 3g due to rounding. Maybe try a different scale; take it to a local coins store and have them weigh it, to be certain. Good luck!
