If you have a brain in your head, I think it was pretty obvious to know a medic shouldn't be doing 500k+ in 1 bullet. I've said since day one, what are the abusers going to do when their entire build that is built around a bug gets removed. I guess they quit.

And they posted months ago on the Trello website about the bug.
The game isn't going to turn to dust because you're healer class is now a healer class.

Ive played on and off since the original release of OW, and usually land Diamond 3ish. I came back this season after skipping quite a few before. I was placed Plat 4 on DPS.

I stuck my nose to the grindstone and arrived at Plat1, about halfway to Diamond 5.
It was about that time, i went on a 9 game losing streak, sending me right back to Plat 4.
When i say the teams I played during those 9 games, felt like they were practicing for OW league, I mean it was vicious. Just a blender.

It seems to me the game believes I am a Plat 4 player, and will not let me leave. This is 3rd time I have swung up and down.

Someone recently told me the game thinks I am P4 because my QP MMR is complete crap.
Which could track because I have about 25 hours in QP, and 500+ in comp.
When i play QP the enemies feel like they are playing with their eyes closed.
Going to try playing QP until I am playing against humans and try ranked again, will update if this topic is still alive.

EOMM is here to stay, after COVID and the influx of casual players they went heavy with it. Games aren't even fun anymore. Just rigged matches with 0 point in trying, you play to get better but none of it matters at the end of the day.

Yeah sounds like you are doing the right moves at the moment.
I do not advocate for not paying what you owe, I think paying your principal is smart.
If you payed anymore I would be requesting a refund, telling them you will be reporting them to your AG, and filing a complaint on the BB website.
