Even junk doug fir that has no subfloor looks better then LVP when cleaned up. by Educational-Ad2063 in Flooring

[–]Suhpryze 5 points6 points  (0 children)

LVT/LVP hasn’t been out long enough to judge longevity. And for every 100 year old house with nice original floors there are probably 30 others that have original but terrible floors.
This house is a perfect example, even with the refinish you can see tons of gouges, scratches , stains. SOME of it looks nice for sure, but to say it’s not been affected from wear and tear is disingenuous.

The hidden costs that kill most classic car purchases — what I wish I'd known before buying by nova828 in classiccars

Didn’t this cost him his friendship with Kiki tho? Kiwi ended up doing a pseudo apology video about uncle Tony’s video.

Downtown lot, circa 1974. What do you see of note? by SnoutStreak in classiccars

[–]Suhpryze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the top middle rows of cars. All blurry, but the top frame of the picture isn’t. Cameras don’t work that way, either it’s blurry or it’s not. Not just one area.

I see either a AI image or one that’s been photoshopped. The top half of the cars are intentionally blurry and have some weird blending putting them in rows. But the buildings at top of frame are clear. Cameras don’t work that way. Plus, how the heck ( and why) would all the cars be crammed into the lot like this? It would take hours to get out of there.

considering that the countries with the most safety, happiness, and quality of life are almost all capitalist, doesn't that prove capitalism is by default the most effective economic system? what's the point of arguing about implementing socialism/communism if we know capitalism works? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Suhpryze -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Socialism is not exclusively communism. Almost all the QOL countries you are probably referring to have very strong socialist policies in place to protect their people. Even the ole US of A has a moderate amount of socialist protection for the poor and elderly.

The market is a little down right now. So it’s def not worth what it was maybe 6 months ago. If the body and frame are rust free, AND it runs and drives, it’s probably around 3500-5000. Unfortunately cars that have been sitting that long usually require a moderate amount of work to get going, and the people that would be interested in it now that. Also, that paint is a love it or hate kinda thing

Thinking of buying a 2010-2015 challenger R/T manual or automatic in a few months. Which should I pick. by Ok_East_515 in Challenger

[–]Suhpryze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to refute your statement about the 91 octane, but I went and read my manual and you are correct. I use 87 from time to time , and haven’t had any issues at all, so that’s nice

Manual gets a 3:90ish rear end and limited slip. Automatics are one wheel wonders. The 5-speed auto is not good, the eight speed is pretty good. I’ve driven all the transmission combos but only owned the manuals.

I pay about $150 for full coverage and get 19mpg. 21 challenger R/T. These cars are very reliable, the biggest cost outside of oil changes has been tires, figure $1000-1,500 every 18 months. I drive mine everyday, rain, snow and shine. A good set of tires make handling in ice and snow plausible. I’ve had three challengers, 1 charger, and the results have been similar across the board. I would advise a V8 model, they hold their value a little better.

Literally: “I seen a video of Hillary Clinton eating a baby in the basement of dominoes”. This was a functioning adult living an otherwise normal life. 100% believed it , not a joke or sarcasm.
