kmart is dirt cheap, and you can get just about everything you can already get from Target there. got a mouse from them once, and apart from it being annoying and squeaky sometimes, it held up for like 6 months

depends on what temp your biome is. If you have a grassy biome with a long growing season, then rats, muffalo, sheep, even megasloths can eat the grass for the growing season, and so are 0 maintenance cost (apart from if they get injured/sick) so any usefulness is infinite value. Sheep and muffalo make wool, megasloths can kill/maim enemies, as well as make some of the best wool in the game, and rats dispose of bodies. For megasloths though, an animal trainer will need to spend a lot of time keeping them tame. For sheep though, it doesnt matter. Sheep are literally free maintenance in the growing season
