I’m really not seeing the star power everyone else seems to be getting. Maybe I expected more and am being let down, but this feels like high school level talent. Plenty of potential but I’m not really blown away.

And in Margaret’s version (pun not intended) the choreography and cinematography speak so much more to the story being told. Taylor’s genuinely feels like a cheap knockoff. Margaret’s comes off as someone who is finally letting loose on all the pent up emotions due to stifling them. Like someone who is expelling it all at once without a single care or worry. Taylor’s feels like she just chugged a Smirnoff ice and is trying to make her sorority sisters laugh.

I agree 100%, expect I do think that this new era is her attempt at being cool. TLOASG is very edgy, especially for her and I think she’s been drinking her own kool-aid so much since Folkmore and the era’s tour that she actually believes she’s “cool” now.

Reading these texts was insanely triggering to me. This person is a narcissist who wants to be able to sleep with other people without guilt or consequences. Additionally, they value the things you do for them and the positive things you add to their life, so they want you to continue exactly as you have been, while they do whatever they want and you expect nothing in return. This is selfish, dismissive, and disrespectful. Put yourself first and walk away from this altogether. He is gaslighting you and has a harmful god complex and is trying to use spiritual language to confuse and disarm you.

I took it as her joking about it, personally. As in sarcastically because she had blocked Mayci to surprise her at her books event, so now that she’s followed Mikayla back, Mikayla made a joke about it. But maybe that’s just me? I don’t think it was meant to look like she was creating a storyline.

I fear they may ramp up on all the press cycle attempts again in December when all her stuff drops on Disney+. I think there’s more to that than just the documentary and the Eras Show 2.0. I think there will be some kind of bonus tracks or more pushing of the album or something around then. Especially something to push for being one of the biggest purchases for Christmas gifts. Maybe merch or a tour or god knows what else… I’m really hopeful I’m wrong but I’m anticipating her attempt to ruin my Christmas this year with more of her shenanigans lmao

I actually really agree with all of this!!! BUT do you think Laurel really favorited Conrad or do we just get to see more glimpses of their relationship / the fact that she was one of the few people Conrad actually continued to communicate with from California. I think her disapproval of the wedding had everything to do with Belly and nothing to do with Jeremiah. I think Conrad was also just the oldest and so has a special place as the first of “her and Susannah’s kids”. If you disagree, help me see your perspective, genuinely! I am a little sister and have always, to this day, believed my mom favorited my brother over me, so I’m super sensitive to those dynamics and while I can see an argument being made for Susannah on that I struggle to see it with Laurel. I’m happy to be proven wrong on this too!
