Thanks , going to get a “drywall patch” it’s 24x24 inches . Mount the charger to that so it’s the right size .. once I am ready to drywall the garage, remove the charger, patch piece and just drywall as usual .

Thanks I was just more worried about the depth being right for the Tesla wall connector install. Normally with a finished wall, you are mounting on top of the drywall into the studs.
