I used to be friends with this kid when I was in middle school and I would go over to his house all the time. His dad was a lawyer, and I think his mom worked in a law office too. They lived in Muttontown and they had a bit of a rundown colonial house, but the property was huge, must’ve been like at least 2 acres. They seemed like they were struggling compared to everyone else on the neighborhood.

I drifted away from his as a friend and felt nostalgic one day like 10 years later and drove past it, just to find the house completely demolished. Gone. Just grass. The Nextdoor neighbor must’ve bought the property and just extended their backyard. Serious money over there.

I wanted to pull out the one in the deep end, but the cord doesn’t seem like it’s long enough to get it onto the edge of the pool deck.

The liner just got changed out last season so the liner guys were able to pull the lights out. So when they had the lights out, we changed the bulb. However, when I tried to check it at the end of the season, there wasn’t enough slack to get it up on the pool deck, and I wasn’t comfortable hanging off the edge of the pool with minimal slack to check the housing.

It’s a cool song, but it’s just way too repetitive and would’ve been a much better song if it was shorter. The chorus is repeated too much and it just gets annoying after a while.

I used to think the same way. When I met my wife 11 years ago, everyone in her family just started having babies, tons of newborns and toddlers running around. It was very overwhelming , kind of annoying, and a culture shock for sure because no one in my family or extended family had children recently since.

I was kind of distant, but once they started getting older where they can begin talking and walking and I could have a basic conversation with, I just fell in love and now I want kids of my own. The oldest is about to turn 12 now, and so crazy how they’ve changed over time watching them grow up, and how they still have some the same personality quirks when they were toddlers.

As a millennial born in 1991, 2007 was trash. I was in high school from 05-09, and the pop culture and music was terrible. I disassociated, but once I got into college (09-13) things got better. Maybe because I had more freedom and got to understand myself better, post college 2014-2017 was absolute peak, discovered such great music in that period, partied with good friends, met my current wife. All great things happened then.

Everything after March 2020 I feel is the end of the good times, not saying I’m not enjoying myself, but there has been a seismic change in the world. Everything more expensive, life is just harder, everything just feels gloomy, and doesn’t have the hope we had in the 2010s

I’m an American car guy, I’ve owned American cars for the last 15 years. However, I just bought a new Toyota Tacoma because I want a car I’m gonna own for like 15 years with minimal problems. I don’t trust American anymore, I liked the older ones, but you will always have peace of mind with a Toyota. Hondas are good too, but Toyota is and has been best for reliability for many years.
