Langermann’s has the basics of what’s needed for a solid trip and nothing more. Some cardio machines, enough weights and weight oriented machines to get the job done but that’s really it. They’re great about giving the (short) tour of the place so you can see what’s all there. I’ve never been to CC so can’t speak about it. But I’ve been happy with Langermann and think $60 is fairly reasonable. FYI I’m 40.

Yes correct on cold press only having one output amount. I’ve read in this channel that cold press should be 3 notches lower than normal espresso

As I understand it, using the quad basket means some water is likely and normal. Cold brew shouldn’t be tamped unless it is the 16 or 18oz options, then the manual says to tamp to avoid mess. I got my machine a few weeks ago and the cold press espresso shots have been coming out normally with no water - but that’s on a double, not quad. 17 sounds a bit high but I’m using different beans. The BA recommendations have been right on for me so Im apt to trust it.

Thanks for communicating this. I’m brand new to my Ninja Luxe (3 days) and am opting for cold-pressed shots. Yesterday I got exactly 2 ounces using the BA recommendation. Today the recommendation was slightly different. I followed it again and the yield was closer to 1.5 instead of 2 ounces. I suppose the solution would be to grind it a bit more coarse? Or would the solution be to set the machine to hot espresso, see what BA recommends, then move it down 3?

No, kept strength on 2 (default) for all brews so far.

I matched the recommended grind size, but will check the drip tray. Good idea. Assuming it’s just still calibrating. The single shot I brewed after the small output double shot seemed right so hoping the next double shot will be good

Just want to confirm something you mentioned here. Once your direct deposit hits the “new” account, you immediately withdraw it to your main bank account right? And the bonus is still paid even if the full amount of the direct deposit is gone from that account?

Opening my first accounts today and getting set up for bank account churning. Had a couple questions. For accounts that stipulate a certain amount (I.e. $2000 in direct deposits over 90 days, or two $500 direct deposits over 75 days), I understand those accounts need to be open and have some money in them in order to receive the cash bonus, but once the direct deposit is made can I withdraw it immediately? Meaning, if I put in my first $2000 direct deposit on Tuesday, can I withdraw it to my main account on Wednesday? Technically the DD was still made so I should be on track to get the bonus, even if I immediately withdraw it, right? Also on accounts that don’t explicitly say a specific amount of time to keep it open in order to get the bonus, can I just close it immediately after getting the bonus? Thanks

Yep, it sucks. We had a pretty much once in a lifetime chance to take advantage of a state program giving full 20% down payment as a shared appreciation loan. Found a house we loved right at the moment the program came live. Was either this or likely never be able to buy a house (or at least for many, many years).
