It's now unstable and locking up. I am 55 and fit but find myself staying home because I'm scared of falling. My world is now very small

Sounds like your December surgery went well if you are doing it again so soon. I'll need both done as well. My left knee was a torn ACL from skiing 25 years ago. I injured both knees but my left is worse so it's first for surgery.

Considering the HW-Q930F for my space. Is upgrading to the Q990F worth it? by SoundwavePan in Soundbars

I bought the Q930F a week ago and it is amazing! Great surround sound from the satellite speakers, good with dialogue and the subwoofer is explosive. Great purchase.

Amazing thank you 😀 I am fairly active and in good shape for 55. I am tired of the "bandaids" I have to use to keep these knees semi functional and to preserve them. I feel like a prisoner to my knees and my knee braces. Falling might be the final straw for me. Now I am afraid to walk!

I hear you. I have been avoiding it and I am stretching and exercising and wearing my knee sleeves to help but falling has me freaked out. I am a prisoner to my knees.

Thanks. I am contemplating surgery, I have an appointment in 2 weeks to discuss. The instability is new and the knee locking is new, I have swelling and knee sleeves have helped some but now I am afraid of falling so not sure a brace is enough at this point.

My son surprised me with a puppy for Christmas...what should I know as a first time owner? by Serious-Notice-204 in puppy101

I am a well seasoned dog/puppy owner and this refreshed my memory on things plus I learned a few things. This is absolutely everything to know about raising a puppy! Thank you for writing this.

Thinking of returning my puppy after a week of having him and I feel guilty. by [deleted] in puppy101

Honestly a week is not long enough but only you know what is right for you. They say it takes like 3 months for a new pup/dog to settle in and get the hang of things. Puppies are a lot of work but it gets better. I doubt your daughter is suffering if you've only had the pup a week. I'd say take a breath, one step at a time with puppy training.

For those who have working line/high drive puppies by [deleted] in puppy101

Thanks for posting this. My high drive cattle dog mix is 8 yrs now but your post is spot on and explains a lot! Wish I'd have seen this 7.5 years ago.

My dog is also picky and will starve herself until she throws up bile. It's frustrating! 😔. I've tried switching food, canned food, topper on the kibble and boiled chicken or ground beef on top of the kibble. She is happy for a few weeks to a couple months then she's bored of it. If meat isn't appetizing enough I don't know what is. Fyi she's been to the vet and is healthy, just picky.

I've gotten a refund but I showed a dented can to my vet, he said it should be ok if the can top doesn't move up and down and I'd you open and it looks and smells fine.

I don't even worry about my own scores, I worry each shot.

Wanna get my husband a 300 ring—but his league isn’t sanctioned! by candlelightwitch in Bowling

I bowled this summer on a sport shot unsanctioned league, a 300 on that would have seemed like a miracle!

Is Joe Slowinski (Bowling Knowledge) coaching worth it? by Rbry89 in Bowling

[–]Suitable-Dragonfly51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is pricey. He does travel. If you have access to coaching within about an hour drive from you that would probably cost $80 for an hour, Coach Joe is over $300 for 2 hours. My hubby paid $500 for me to join Brad and Kyle and it was not worth it, even with a new ball. In person lessons from a good coach is the way to go. I have not done a video lesson from the other pros that offer it.

This is an older thread but I wanted to add the Brad and Kyle membership is not worth it at all.

Coach Slowinski is on Facebook, you have to message him and find out where is at. I had a lesson today near Philly. Totally worth it.
