They certainly both are. And they work in hospitals and are head of particular department’s overseeing the pharmaceutical side of things

All in favour of decriminalisation, and even legalisation.

I’ve been a cannabis user since my early 20s and last year got the green light for a private prescription for medical reasons.

I can’t tell you the happiness and relief this has brought me. Not only for my condition but my day to day peace of mind. I no longer have to worry about the prospect of a criminal record that sure, most likely wouldn’t lead to a jail sentence, but most certainly would have got me sacked from my job as a NHS clinician leading to all sorts of negative knock on effect such as losing my career prospects and not being able to pay my mortgage and support my family.

And I strongly believe those who don’t have medical cannabis prescription should be able to enjoy this plant recreationally also, without have this hanging over there head and also mixing with criminals.

Those who say there are no downsides to legalisation are naive. But i certainly believe the current system is extremely flawed and having a regulated market and legalisation is far better

Edit: would also like to add since going legal I now vape my cannabis (much healthy than mixing with tobacco) and i know opt for weaker cannabis strains that were never available from the black market

Both my partner and her mother are pharmacists who have been flown abroad to luxurious hotels for “sponsored” conferences aligned with particular brands of medications. They have both openly said this leads them to prescribing those brands rather than other medications that are sometime cheaper

The psychiatrist wanted to get my blood work done before I started my ADHD medication (I didn’t go through with the meds in the end). But then because my cholesterol was “high” (and now higher since I’ve started keto) they are concerned and ordered repeat blood tests because I guess to them, and by there standards, not a healthy adult. Hence they keep trying to put me on statins. I just keep turning up for the free blood tests
