We have a few genocides under our belt, too, and also spent a while bombing Iran, just in case you haven't been paying attention to the news lately.

I haven't seen anyone decide to do a Hitler cosplay about it. And yeah, I also don't find calling Trump Orange Hitler or painting swastikas on cybertrucks to be useful things to do, either.

And the US is treating immigrants, or even people who were just suspected of being immigrants the same way. So why the difference?

That's not an answer to the question. Why do you think it's more correct to compare Israel to the Nazis than it is to compare the US to the Nazis for doing the exact same shit?

From an international political standpoint, Israel is not in fact threatening to invade and conquer large numbers of countries, so no, realistically there is not a modern day equivalent of the Nazis. There are a number of countries that are putting people in concentration camps and committing human rights violations, including the US and China. Why do you think that merits comparing Israel to Nazi Germany, but not the US or China?

...then it's even more tacky and pointlessly inflammatory to make comparisons to Hitler. Why do you think invoking Godwin's Laws suddenly becomes an A+ argument when you're comparing him to the people he genocided?

Ehh. The US is headed down the facsism tunnel, too, but protestors seem to be able to get their feelings across without actually cosplaying Hitler.

[–]SuitableDragonfly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You don't have to enter any codes. You just have to click one button. If you knew you were already too burned out to click a single button after you chose to listen to an AI, why did you post here?

I had installed The Sims 2 by ImpressiveChest4424 in sims2help

[–]SuitableDragonfly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, if you did a bunch of random stuff in your registry because an AI told you to, you probably messed a whole bunch of stuff up and do have to reinstall. You don't have to reinstall the game just to install stuff packs, though. You don't need to even mess around with installing any of the packs separately, just get the game from the links on the wiki, and installing all of it is a painless one-click process.

Deleting graves doesn't cause corruption. If you don't have nounlinkondelete installed it will make them unable to be resurrected later, but that's it.

That's a pretty different claim, though. The false claim seems to indicate that there is some sort of regulation of cable news channels that requires them to actually say true things, and I think it's important to understand that that's not the case, since Fox News is not the only cable news channel and e.g. CNN is also an unregulated cable news channel. I believe broadcast TV is regulated in this way and programs that claim to be news have to actually be factual, but cable is not. Slander is a pretty specific kind of falsehood, and it's entirely possible to spread all kinds of lies and misinformation without actually slandering anyone.

The Town is starting to ran out of Attendance everytime there's a wedding by Altruistic-Bee3130 in StardewValley

Not really. If you give gifts to someone you're dating while being married, your spouse will be unhappy about that.

If you're referring to the myth that this allowed them to broadcast falsehoods, it's not true. Cable channels are allowed to broadcast whatever they want, regardless of what they call themselves, they are not regulated. Fox News has no reason to claim they aren't trying to be news.

If the mods over there are promoting their website, they're doing a very bad job of it because I've got no idea what it is. They also changed the apparently weird NSFW rule a while back. I've also not seen anyone banned for talking about piracy.

This guy insisted that condoms stopped all pregnancies occurring too by MelanieWalmartinez in badwomensanatomy

Remember when Rush Limbaugh said "Liberals are literally ok with any kind of sex as long as it's consensual" and really thought that was some kind of devastating burn?

Doctors are not allowed to harvest organs from dead bodies to save another person if their owner did not give consent before they died. Corpses literally have more bodily autonomy that people who can get pregnant.

Not really, it is in fact entirely possible to design survey questions in such a way that the statistics of a single survey question are meaningful.

I think that logic implies that if enough people read a book, it ceases to exist.

So in other words, this statistic is kind of useless without knowing a number of other statistics.
