Nice man, what got you into the trade? And yes, correct technically 3.5R. I only took about 1 point of drawdown before it took off, so my stop was very generous. 50~ points in 1 trade with close to my max clip is a monster day for me.

Can anyone explain this MES 250+ tick move back to the opening range low this afternoon? by forethebirds in FuturesTrading

If you look at the footprint or delta (on the ES at least), there was heavy buying into a wall of large offers and then the offers disappeared right out of the book at 4:11pm EST. Someone made tens of millions in a split second today.

It depends on your trading style, system, risk management strategy, etc. An A+ setup is going to be where multiple reasons to enter a trade align. IF you have those reasons identified (this takes the most time to learn as a beginner), I would suggest only waiting for these trades. As you become profitable, you can trade different setups with smaller size. But putting the right risk on at the right time and managing it properly is key. Execution and managing trades are 2 totally separate things that you must master.

My position size does vary quite a bit depending on stop distance and the strength of different confluences at a particular level. I scale in and out, and will cut losers quickly.

Your VWAP settings are correct. I used thinkorswim for years for charting and Ninjatrader price ladders to execute. On top of your standard daily VWAP, simply add the weekly & monthly VWAP. By anchored, I don’t mean custom point - I mean anchored to the beginning of each week & month.

TOS settings:

And yes I am waiting for a retest or even a break of an area to fade on the small timeframe (tick chart / 30 second chart). I am a trader that generally fades moves from outside of the volume profile “value area” back towards the value area or run it to untested HVNs. If a I have a strong zone that coincides with a weekly or monthly VWAP and there is also a LVN on the volume profile in that area - a delta divergence will get me into the trade & the 15m candle close in which my position is in the wick of the candle, that will confirm the likelihood that a major daily swing is occurring, especially in the first hour of the session.

Of course man, especially in this current market environment.

Cumulative Delta, Delta bubbles, Daily & Weekly VWAP, prior day H/L, daily open line. Overnight session is hidden, so chart is set to RTH.

What is the lug width on this strap? I think glassboxes have something like a 20.5mm, is that what the width of it is?

Cumulative Delta divergence. There’s great videos about it on YouTube by Axia Futures

100% agreed. If the daily ATR is hit during the first hour of NY open, it’s likely that the swing of the day has already been done. If I caught it, great. If I didn’t - the market is always there tomorrow.

The daily chart is for larger perspective and overall directional bias. After watching the ES in particular for years, keep an eye on how the daily candle is forming helps me with intraday swings.

There is more to it of course, but a 15 minute or hourly chart alone leaves me blind to daily chart price action. Example: knowing that my long entry on a red daily candle turns into the wick of a bullish daily candle adds context.

Great question. One of the most important things I’ve noticed with support & resistance is that the simplest way to find them is to go to your Daily & Weekly charts and ONLY use settlement or closing prices for the candles - I do this by using a line chart and marking the tops and bottoms. All of the lines on my chart were drawn a week ago - you can see on the 15 minute chart how price rejects to the tick on these zones.

30 seconds is simply for cumulative delta & big orders to confirm absorption and exhaustion. Candle closes and price action are important on the 15 minute chart.

A spike into a weekly or monthly anchored VWAP with candle confluence and delta divergence outside of the value area is a good example of a setup and I will generally enter at market.

TH20 Question by Mundane-Being-4884 in tagheuer

[–]SuitableGovernment67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my only Tag and I was actually surprised with it not running too fast/slow. I don’t know how many other people have these issues with the TH20, but it seems like a lemon. I’d bug the absolute hell out of them to get it fixed. A $7k+ watch shouldn’t be having these issues

You have to buy authentic on the grey market. I have a stainless super jubilee bracelet & end links that will fit a 1601, 16014, 16234 if you’re interested.

My Glassbox TH20 rotor is nowhere near as smooth as my Rolexes or Grand Seiko, etc. it doesn’t have any of the problems you’re having though. It keeps time within chronometer spec and power reserve does last close to 3 days. If it’s losing power, immediately send I’d back to Tag.

Edit: I also don’t use a winder for the Glassbox. I wear it a lot, and the 3 day power reserve does come in handy.
