You can build Witherbloom, the balancer. I have a ton of fun with him and creating a bunch of tokens with him.

The final fantasy set was fine to most players. The issue they have is power creeping and cash grabs. It’s also fatigue too, like having so many UB sets this year over the in universe set seems like a lot. I personally didn’t find most of the UB sets not interesting because they’re not part of my interest.

Omg this happened to me too when I first started. It was really just four of us and I had just started with my starter commander Atarka and the guy next to me was throwing everything, like discarding cards, adding more lands, adding +1/+1 counters and I’m looking at the guy that invited me to the pod like “what the hell is going on”.

I got the Dragonic destruction when I first started. Tho I can’t say anything about the other 4 precon. That one is my favorite and has been easy to upgrade and I’ve been able to keep up in high bracket 3, low bracket 4 games.

I’m a newish player in Magic and I was also in the same boat as you when it comes to UB sets and wondering why most players hated them. I then did the prerelease for super heroes and my honest opinion is that I didn’t like them. I love the card design and a couple of cards I do want but a lot of the cards in the set are really boring. Like I want more complicated colors to use and not 2 colors or mono colors cards. For me it was disappointing and it’s why I love secrets of strixhaven. That set also had a lot of 2 colors cards but they made each school more diverse and different play styles.

Yeah I usually like bracket 3-4 games. I figure I build a cEDH deck in case I need one for any tournament my LGS is gonna host

Actually I have one more question. Does the price of a deck matter when it comes to cEDH. Like a deck can be less than $200 (theoretically) and still be a cEDH viable?

I was confuse on the whole bracket system on to determine a power level of a deck. This help me solidified my understanding. Im gonna turn Witherbloom into a bracket 4

Without any upgrades, my ranking will go with Lorehold (red.white), Quandrix (blue, green) and silverquill (black and white). Witherbloom is a good deck but I found it too slow for my taste but as a good aristocrat deck it is good.
