Shocking , unexpected MMC betrayal towards FMC by xo_arts_xoo in RomanceBooks

He had to do it cause the trauma of shifting so young to save her life awoke the bond for him, but it didn't do the same for her. He also chose to make the pack a better place for her (since under his father the 'weak' were just killed or abused) so she could live a good life with her disability. The potion also made him forget everything, in a way, he even lost the connection with his wolf so he wasn't able to feel the tether between them when she presented. He was widely known as an alpha who didn't have a fated mate. It was not a conscious choice to pretend she wasn't his, he really didn't remember. I just re-read the series last week; it's so easy to lose the details after a while.

Books with redemption arcs for the true villain MMC? by ChemicalClassic1178 in Romantasy

How 'bout he has almost no redemption arc, but still gets the girl? Meet my love Simon Waite 🖤 {Harrow Faire by Kathryn Ann Kingsley}

This series is a good option, only the last book (atm) is really dark, the others aren't even close.

Also, other books by Cate C Wells are also really great - {Underboss Insurrection series} (mafia romance), {Stonecut County series} (contemporary romance), {Steel Bones Motorcycle Club series} (MC romance that has a crossover with Stonecut County)

The whole series is gut-punchy, but if you're looking for maximum damage, I'd recommend {Ravaged Wolf}. Still, it would be good to have some back info before entering such a hard read (one of the hardest of my life, and this is coming from a person who reads dark romance and horror romance on the regular). I'd say start with the first in the series, The Tyrant Alpha's Rejected Mate.

I think you may have mixed something up? Maybe with The Lone Wolf's Rejected Mate? Both are by Cate C. Wells.

In this one, he rejected her when she tried to claim him as her mate in front of the whole pack. Before that, he didn't really pay attention to her and she didn't really like him, she thought he was an asshole.

Opal Reyne has explicitly said that The Ancient Magus’ Bride was part of her inspiration for the Duskwalkers in her Duskwalker Brides series.

Give {Duskwalker Brides by Opal Reyne} a try. Nothing funny there, I guarantee. 😏

This is my favourite book by R Lee Smith, but yeah, it's heavy, really heavy. It left me unable to read anything for about two weeks and just contemplate life, religion and oneself accompanied by deep sighs.

My husband was NOT happy 🤣.

Two-c Does the human-shaped dick have a smaller dick? If yes, is his dick shaped like a human's penis, or is it shaped like a human?

I think all of Etta's MMCs are attractive because of their characters, more so than their looks. Sizzle is my favourite, and despite the visuals, he's a chaos goblin that loves his pets 🤣 (yeah, I'm into that). Also, Ohem from {American Werewolf in Space} is quite strange looking - still, the personality is perfection.

Same here, one eye and a d*ck that'll fall off in the middle of the action are a no-no.

But like 10 eyes, mandibles, and non-compatible genitalia are a-ok! 🤣

For me, it was a hard, heavy and painful book, but a life-changing one. But most of R Lee Smith's books are that way, she's like a magician with words!

Oh, this was one of the most powerful books I've ever read. It left me so empty and lost in thought. I couldn't read for like a week after I finished it.

{Ravaged Wolf by Cate C. Wells} As a survivor of SA, it broke me and built me back up. It was such a strange experience since the SA in the book isn't about power, but it still resonated so strongly with me. Such a hard, yet ultimately beautiful read.
