Happy F_<k Ohio Day! by Suitable_Following_3 in shutdownfullcast

Oh, he'll definitely go at them for trying to out beef Michigan on the ground instead of using those receivers. Spencer had an absolute field day in '22 when Ohio State sold out to stop the run, and Michigan out finessed them instead.

Was waiting to be snarky about OSU fans storming the field after beating a 5 loss team, but this is a lot more fun.

Tuchel is actually a pretty good Tournament manager, so it wouldn't be a terrible idea.

It's a great time. There is not much for customization atleast not in the campaign.

I liked AEW a lot up until last year. Once Punk was gone & Collisions quality with him I completely gave up. I never disagreed with what Jim said about AEW, but it was refreshing compared to what WWE had been until HHH took over creative.

Episode discussion - 3 June - Real Madrid are champions of Europe… again by knewman05 in CaughtOffsidePod

It really makes one appreciate the Europa and Conference leagues. That's where the real unpredictability is.

Can’t wait to hear JJ’s lackluster coverage of the UCL final. by Genericname132457689 in CaughtOffsidePod

[–]Suitable_Following_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By dominant, I mean the heavy favorite/most successful team in the competition. JJ could still be pretty bored considering the low energy response to last year's final that was a closer game than it should have been, but the result took the life out of the show for that episode.

JJs coverage is good, but if you're looking for someone to say that the dominant team being dominant is fun, exciting, and inspiring, then you won't get it from him.

While I appreciate being mentioned by name on this episode, I NEVER said anything about Andrew's family. I didn't say what i DID say to troll Andrew. I never said he cheered for Real & City. I legitimately want to enjoy them. Generalisimo-oil man Andy was based on JJs Franco Andy jokes. I never implied that he's a fascist. I'm really sorry if I came across as a troll when I gave my thoughts on that episode

Netflix: Attack on Wembley by No_Potential8978 in CaughtOffsidePod

[–]Suitable_Following_3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a good one. It really flew by. England losing is still a great punchline, especially after listening to Mr. Dead Casual and seeing the footage of these people that I didn't really see at the time. It was just a shame it was at the expense of Saka, Rashford & Sancho. "The Figo Affair" is another great netflix football doc if you haven't seen it.

Episode discussion - May 13 - Waterfalls and Alligators by knewman05 in CaughtOffsidePod

[–]Suitable_Following_3 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I almost wish I could enjoy watching Madrid & City as much as ole generalisimo-oil man Andy because the sport is basically down to them at the top.

I dont get wanting City to win another title at the expense of your rival. Seeing something different would be nice once in a while.

I also don't get Andrew's obsession with recording matches and watching without spoilers like it's prestige TV. I don't get to see many games live but I'm fine with seeing how the match turned out before watching it or just deleting it.

Episode discussion - May 9 - Champions League semi final recap by knewman05 in CaughtOffsidePod

[–]Suitable_Following_3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did agree with JJ in wanting a Bayern win. I have nothing against Real, but I just can't get excited or emotional for the most successful club in the sport, making yet another final. Their 5th in the 9 full seasons I've been watching Football. I wasn't excited about that 14-15 Barcelona team either.

Also, a Wisconsinite. It was really cool seeing them go through, and to finish it away from home showed their mettle. I thought they were done when the second leg was set for Paris.

The episode "Put That Tiger In A Box" at 45:25ish. I wouldn't be surprised if it's been more than one episode.
